Friends are, generally speaking, much over-rated. |

David, I understand that the writer of that article you were talking about has form. I had already read and agreed with the article before I saw your post the other day. I mean they are pretty basic truths, and nothing in it should be controversial. However, it might be unwise to cite that particular author as he has written other things which are not nearly so kosher. (Or I was told. I forget who by.)
Probably too late. You have no doubt already committed the dreadful sin of citing Whateverhisnameis and been tried and found guilty for it.
Of course, the source of a view has nothing to do with its truth value. Pauline Hanson sometimes says true things. Stalin sometimes told the truth. Even Eric Abetz has been factual and accurate at least twice, though probably not within the last three or four decades. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Pauline was certainly correct when she said something to the effect that she was "no expert" (I don't remember the specific subject matter) the other day during an interview. |

It does strike me as odd that some (albeit a minority of) feminists can see Hillary Clinton's gender as sufficient reason to vote for her over Bernie Sanders, but don't seem to be as enthused by the prospect of a female British prime minister who's a little further to the right than she is. How far right do you have to go, exactly, to lose the identity politics vote? Or is this simply a partisan thing (e.g. Democrats good, Tories bad)?
Another possibility is that most British feminists are actually a little more politically switched on than their American counterparts (who may or may not take more of an interest in the content of pop songs than economics). _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange

Before anyone gets too carried away it was for spy camera installations... |

A great call that would have you inviscerated if you dared share it on facebook.
I'd actually argue the reverse was true if you look at the age demographics and not just the gender. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I seriously must have missed something
What does it matter if they are female, male, hetro, gay, pink, green, purple, white, black or any other colour, have kids, don't have kids, are married, not married, believe in sky pixies of any breed or don't??
Just be informed and support those that stand for decent policies for all people ( and animals and the planet) - no one will every agree with every policy ( unless you live in a society where if you don't you may disappear or be killed) - who gave these over opinionated wankers the right to speak on behalf of all women - not bloody me
You know you numb nuts you can't correct the inequality of the past by insisting that we all believe and subscribe to your views - that's what us old women were originally fighting against!! _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Thar be truth in that sketch, Wokko. Women's happiness in our society sometimes comes with a steep price tag.
