Why would they want to tell other clubs their intention?
You’ll know when you need to know. |
The thing is other clubs know, the club leaks like sieve. Generally everybody already “knows” when the club makes an announcement. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Not so much on who we are going to pick, just on whether we take 2 or 3 players. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

I don't want to get my Hopes up for Callow at Pick 3 for Collingwood as I don't want to be too Disappointed IF we pass on him _________________ I am Da Man |

I don’t think any of us will be in a position to criticise the club for whatever they do on the night. Hindsight, maybe but not at the time.
It’s really difficult to anticipate the clubs thinking for two reasons -
1 ) we have so many holes, you can’t rule out any position that couldn’t be improved upon ( maybe defence aside )
2 ) we need players for the future just as much as we need players for the now.
We might just simply pick next best rather than a forward ( unless next best is a forward) It’s not like whoever it is won’t get any opportunity to prove himself.
We might not even take a second selection because we don’t like whatever is left in the second round.
The good news is it will all be over fairly quickly and we will have a whole new talking point tomorrow evening. |

Would love to walk away with Callow and Johnson, but I cant see either player slipping to our second pick.
In a way I'm disappointed we decided not to take a third pick. (I'm hoping that Ty Brown will be ok and able to play again this year). But I thought there was a chance we could take Stengle with our last pick. I guess we've walked away from the idea of drafting him.
I'm sure we'll take one of Callow or Johnson with pick 3. If the other is gone by our second pick, which is very likely, then I'm really not sure who I want. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Out of the 2 pass 3 sounds like Johnson would go ahead of Callow
I am 99% Sure we take either 1 at Pick 3 _________________ I am Da Man |

this im honestly not interested in anything else because clearly we are doomed until we get a FFF $$%^%%$ full forward!!

Ah but what if he's the best available medium paced small half back flanker? |

The reported interest in Begg is interesting... out for the remainder of the season... does this indicate we're looking at someone other than Callow with our first pick and know he'll be taken by another club before our second so we take Begg? Perhaps understanding our draft hand for the next ND consists entirely of Daicos and nothing else of note so taking Begg who will be unavailable to play this season would be akin to another pick in the next ND? We must rate him highly enough to think he'd be within the first 2 rounds...
Johnson seems to be firming as out top pick, so the Begg interest makes sense and addresses a need. I wonder though if Heath is still available at our second pick whether we might look at that instead... |
