Match high disposals and 400m gained, should have kick a soda as well. Tick.

very very good - would have been high in the votes if he can apply sufficient defensive pressure, still a touch too one-way.

if he kicked either that third quarter left foot snap or simply bounced the ball and kicked that last one to ice the game he would have franked my query. Solid game but not line in the sand performance.

Agree with that. I thought those two easy misses and WHE's choke were going to cost us.

So he instead, he got the most touches ( including equal game high 12 contested ) along with most metres gained in a one point win in an elimination final. But you weren’t sold on him because he missed a snap on his wrong foot. I guess when you get the ball that often, you might make an error or two.
Still not convinced ? Now go back and watch the replay and watch some of his inside work for a guy who isn’t a natural inside mid ( which is why they’re called contested, all 12 of them )
I’m not even a huge Treloar fan but what I do like about him is that he never leaves anything behind whenever he plays.
Good players play well in big games, so there’s your answer.

That was close to his most effective game for the season. His disposal efficiency was very good and he seemed to look to go forward, rather than back, for the most part and, at least early in the game, looked to kick, instead of handballing.

Treloar was one of the top 5 players on the ground. No ifs, no buts, no maybes.

100%, he really looked confident last night, its taken a while, but i tell you what, not many players have that something he has, he wears his heart on his sleeve and he just tries his guts out. so good its coming through now.

and steak knives was also excellent last night. as his supposed throw at the end the eagle fans are fixating on on big footy, he was tripped first!

He was undoubtedly better. I have no doubt he was attempting to look up more often to assess options, as opposed to automatically offloading by hand, at times it almost seemed to be a concious effort.
IF his kick to handball ratio balances out, so too will his effectiveness.
He again was too easily worked behind his opponent at the bounce and stoppages.

I don't think it's any co-incidence Treloar plays his best games when we are attacking. Give him space and he's a different player, his confidence seems to come with it.

When he runs, goes direct and thinks his way through vs instantaneous offloading, he is better.

Treloar was very good against West Coast. Top performance which could have been better had one of the two shots for goal gone through.

He played more outside than inside with Greenwood going inside more with Kelly
He is a outside mid and should never be used inside doesn’t have the quick hands for it
