Fast forward 12 months on here.

Treloar only left because Buckley wouldn’t try him at full back.

Some of you are pathetic.

Treloar isn’t soft. Quite the contrary. What a disgusting thing to write publicly regardless.

Secondly, if you think Shiel or Smith are better value than Treloar! Hahahahaha. Go read an Essendon board or speak to a Bomber friend, they’ll tell you how effective these two imposters are.

Treloar is tradeable, like most players, but don’t drop nuggets of poo in this forum. Embarrassing.

For Adelaides pick 1.
Pies pick Logan McDonald or Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.

Preference for me Logan.

I like that.

Plus use the $$$ freed up by Treloar to sign Jeremy Cameron as a free agent.

Effectively resulting in...
OUT - Treloar, Phillips
IN - Cameron, Pick 1

One finals thrashing and we're going to lose Treloar and JDG? Typical media frenzy while we're down.

Well it was JDG who started the frenzy and Treloar's missus who joined a QLD netball team.

Did she join it because of the hub, and does she have inside info what’s happening next season (talk of the qld hub continuing over summer)? It wouldn’t surprise me if many stay in Qld for the rest of the year and summer — they can afford it, and Melbourne is the nightmare before Christmas

So Stewart Dew has dangled Pick 5 at us and who knows, if the Gold Coast really want him, we could ask for Peter Wright too! C'mon Pies, do the trade.
Such a rare opportunity when a coach comes out on AFL 360 and puts up currency. Am sure if the club sat Adam down and painted the picture, they could convince him that Gold Coast would be a professional and personal win:win for all.

We save $700,000+ year. Allows us to sign our key out of contract players and bring in an elite KPF or mid fielder on reduced salary. Stop being vanilla Magpies and realise the opportunity at stake.

Not sure if he wants to leave but we should accept the fact that Adam is a very good footballer who should be proud of his career at the Pies. However, given we gave up 2 first round draft picks (essentially both pick 7's) with a return of a second round draft pick (used on James Aish Brisbane trade), getting a pick 5 and a good player would mitigate the overs we originally paid.

Additionally, Adam turning 28 next year and with some dogged hamstring injuries, a pick 5 would snare us an upper echelon top pick with 10-15 years service. Plus am sure we could extract a Brodie/Wright out of Gold Coast too.

Be bold Pies, be bold.

Medieval wrote “FWIW, I've never rated him. He's good when we're good, but rarely ever lifts us. He's a soft, one-way runner, and now injury prone. We gave up two first round picks for him. There's only a few players who are ever worth giving up that kind of deal for. We need a Luke Hodge type (as much as it pains me to say that). Tough, uncompromising, leads from the front, and will take on 10 men for his club. For far too long, we've been mediocre; overrating our players and pumping up our own tires. Aside from Buckley, Swanny, Pendles, Sidebottom, and maybe Cloke, how many genuine champions have pulled on the Black and White over the last 20 years? Players who win you games, players who make their teammates run faster, tackle harder, and kick longer. If Treloar wants to leave, good luck to him, I really do wish him the best, but it's time to start running the club like a business again, so let's get back in business. The Premiership business.”

Exactly. No point in keeping sooky sooky la la players who want to go home😦

It’s not the USA. We can’t trade a player to somewhere he doesn’t want to go. At least I don’t believe we can

Yep take it but get steak knives thrown in too although not too sure who at this stage. 2 meter Peter isn't as mobile that I recall that one would need.
