Such as?

And what work actually helps the club become a better club?

It's alright to do a banner and all that, but would it really matter if it were not made?

going by what a friend told me from a different cheersquad the players do miss them if they are not there her cs made a banner that on the day could not go up due to a very bad storm and one of the players latter asked why wasn't there one and was told due to the amount of water on the mcg they were told they could not put it up

this same girl told me that once they made a banner and due to people going home and how much was put on it, it took till 4.30am in the morning to make [ a long time ] and seeing the game was the next morning those who stayed to make it had only about 2 hours sleep before heading off to the footy .

all work done by volenteers who put their heart and sole in to making the banner for their clubs no matter what team my thanks go out to all volenteers who make these banners, don't critise the people who put their precious spare time into making these banners and doing other volenteer things for their club as i feel they do a great job

On the ads on side 2 they sponser the club which helps the players etc buying equipment etc etc so that is why the ads on side 2 it maybe boring but it is an income for the club

I used to like banners when they were clever and made fun of the other team or made a Statement. Now its like Black and White, Dynamite

....ehh ZZzz

I appreciate all the hours and work the CS put in but now that the club dictates it, it just doesn't get the fans excited anymore. There used to be a big cheer when the banner went up, now its like a couple of Melbourne supporters pollitely clapping.

As someone who has never been a member of the cheersquad, I think they do a terrific job each week. The banner, the colour and the chanting all contributes to the spirit of the game. However, let's not get too prescious about it. Being in the cheersquad does not make anyone a better or more important supporter than anyone else. Each of us supports the Pies in our own way - and each way is just as valid.

Be nice if we could vote on the best Nick's BB banner of the week and use them. Some real beauties there. Although we may need a PG rating on some Smile

Please tell me we didn't lose because a banner couldn't go up?

Ahh, so you can't handle being owned in your other thread, so you resort to bumping a thread from 2006.

You can run but you'll always be owned!

Since October 2 years ago, not last year. 20 months ago.

Can't you even get your dates right?
