Not perjury... It's a criminal offence to provide a false statement on a stat dec... punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment under the NSW Oaths Act (as would apply in this case).

Staggering that Whitfield gets 6 months less for being a snitch and basicaly dobbing in Gubby and Lambo.

The AFL is a joke, we've all known that for a while, but how Whitfield in the end gets the same suspension Heath Shaw got for givign a mate $10 to put a bet on, I'll never know.

Shaw ended up missing 8 games.

Whitfield will miss 8 games.

How?

It's ridiculous aye?

I reckon Heath was stiff to be suspended for 8 weeks. However, it's all water under the bridge now.

The dealt harshly with Heath, but I sort of understood it, the integrity of the game and all that.

But then the go and make a deal with someone who has deliberately dodged drug testers.

So much for the integrity of the game.

One in, all in, The three should receive the same penalty - 6 months each or 12 months. I cannot rationalise the logic of the player, who did the deed, getting a lighter penalty that those who helped cover things up. Effectively the player loses about 36% of the season (8 games) while the administrators lose 100%. Seems wrong to me. No announcement yet about GWS losing draft pick. AFL might just come out and so no charge to answer because it was done by individuals not the club.

Football Administrators have a greater onus upon them to make mature and responsible decisions and be exemplary role models to the players. I have no problem with the penalty variances.

His replacement, impressive CV.

U10 cricket coach. We should get him to be involved with the current Australian cricket team.
