Question now is if GWS take it to the Supreme Court seeking and injunction (and considering the GF is in the offering it is not a wild speculation), which Supreme Court does it go to?

The offence was committed in Qld, GWS and Greene are based in NSW, and the AFL is based in Vic. Go figure.

Yeah nah, that IS wild speculation. ...

Just in: "The Giants left the door ajar for a possible appeal as they left the tribunal."

That's great!!! You need new evidence for an appeal.

Meanwhile, it's already Tuesday and if they let this distract them for another day or two that will be even better.

Wakelin,Williams, Neitz & Christian are highly professional and decent people. No way whatsoever they can be slightly influenced by what clubs they used to play many centuries ago. No way!

Just like in horse racing. The longer the hearing goes the more likely it’s gunna be upheld.

His advocate was Adrian Anderson. Another germ.

Good outcome.

I don't understand how they possibly think there is any tenable case, even based on Neale's evidence. Neale's evidence, (given despite the code of "say nothing") was that contact was made to his nose, which was sore after. (This despite the fact that Neale was seen to stand up after the incident rubbing his eyes, not his nose). Even if one were to accept Neale's testimony as true, the bridge of the nose is still well within the "eye region". Therefore, one cannot claim that there is "no evidence" that Green made contact with the eye region.
Morevoer, Green's charge did encompass the concept of disreputable/unacceptable conduct, which certainly corresponds to any facial contact whatsoever with a player pinned to the ground.
I can't see how any challenge could possibly succeed.
But I love watching them go for it, because:
a) it is very distracting and disorientating for them (cf: Westcoast's performance after the Rioli incident)
b) They must be very worried, if they are considering going to such lengths.

Yes, agree. We need to keep this all in proportion.
We need to beware of this affecting our mental preparation as well.

AFL website reports: "Such was the surprising nature of the result – given both the evidence of Neale and Greene – Greater Western Sydney now appears likely to launch an appeal on Thursday night."

Greene's distraction, plus brutality of last week's game will take a toll on them.

It may be unjust, but last week the tribunal handed out the most unjust penalty for behaviour that should have attracted a suspension that should have seen Greene on the sidelines until next year!
Anyway let them have the mental distraction of an appeal and let's focus on our game and how to beat them.

Oh yeah, Neale's evidence was surely given weight Shocked What player is going to give testimony against another on the eve of a Prelim?

They don't call the offended party at the tribunal anymore and for good reason. Neale only appeared at the request of the Giants, his testimony was never going to make much difference.

You can only keep your eyes on the prize if they have not been gouged out.

Suck it, Midgets. Got what he deserved. And who's the "AFL legend" claiming it's the "most unjust" suspension in footy history?
