Thanks Dr Andrews.
Living here in the West i prob did get it mixed up with Swan Districts (silly me).
And as for Port Power, they can wear nothing for all I care, Collingwood are the true BLACK and WHITE MAGPIE team.
Let them whinge their little hearts out.
Cant wait for Friday when the Magpies turn the Power out at AAMI. |

Or maybe you've confused us with Port Adelaide (SHAME SHAME SHAME ) Port Adelaide's long sleeved jumpers in the SANFL have always been all-black with white cuffs. But their stripes are different to ours. They have much thinner stripes, with a single horizonal stripe going across the top of them ... and an all-black section above that. It's known as the "prison bar" jumper. The back of the jumper is almost identical to the current Port Power jumper, minus the teal trimmings.
Collingwood's long-sleeved jumpers have always had hooped sleeves, I think. |
yeah from what i remember Collingwoods current"black" jumper is what Swan Districts wear, if Collingwood had of been using the "Traditional" white jumper i dont think the clash of jumpers discussion would have ever came up, like i said i have no problem with the white jumper, i remember a Wizard cup version of the black jumper being used with a swooping magpie on the front and now the black jumper seems to be adopted for all games, im not sure why this has happened, Eddie keeps saying that the jumper will never change but it has, they have gave the "traditional jumper" the flick?? why?? arent Collingwood supporters out raged over this?? all the past heroes that went to battle for Collingwood wore the white jumper, any way after seeing the woods awesome display last night especially the first quater think Ports lack of fast, tall defence will be shown up on friday night |

Nah i dont agree with the Emirates jumper. I reckon wear the old Collingwood jumper, white with black stripes and numbers against Port. That should fix the problem. Althouhg i love the idea of the white jumper with the Magpie. Awesome.

We're BLACK & WHITE !! It's that simple. I even dislike (extremely) the small bit of red on it already.
An all red jumper ??!! Is this a real possibility ? Please, no.
Red will always mean Essendon, Melbourne, Sydney etc.. to me.

I am pretty sure that when Port POWER.[not port adelaide] were introduced to the AFL, they had 3 jumpers...each with the different colours being more prominent.
So they should wear their jumper that has more teal in it than black and white.
And wasn't it a requirement that when Port POWER [not port adelaide] played Collingwood or Carlton Port POWER [not port adelaide] were not allowed to wear the black socks.
Collingwood wear Black and White stripes!! Now and for ALWAYS!!

They are the Port Adelaide Football Club, established in 1870.
The "Power" is their nickname ... just like the "Magpies" is our nickname.
We are not the Collingwood Magpies Football Club ... we are the Collingwood Football Club.
They are officially Port Adelaide ... not Port Power. |

| I totally disagree why wear red ???????? we are black and white, why not wear a pre season jumper and if you or others cant tell the difference between a collingwood jumper and port jumper you need your eyes checked and one will wear black shorts the other white. I dont mind using a different jumper but i am totally against RED we are black and white Someone said to wear all white with a black magpie on the front i dont mind that because its all black and white. I am against an all red jumper |
