I think that an American style "All-Star" game is the best option.

Clubs area split, somehow, into 2 groups.
a List of players for each position is nominated
the fans vote for the players.
Players with the most votes for each position gets a game assuming they are fit.
That way we get to see the "Best of the Best" and the fans, US, get some level of ownership and control over who we see on the feild.

I agree Dillo, and have been suggesting that for a while. Why can't we have North (maybe NT, QLD, NSW, and even WA) v South (VIC, SA, and TAS)???

I still think there needs to be some sort of All-Stars concept - I, for one, would love to see it anyway!

Everyone versus the Vics.

However in America the players actually WANT to play as its a big showcase event. In our game all the players pull out injured as its not deemed important enough.

North Vs South could be a good idea, atleast then we wouldn't have the Allies again.

They should have something like the leagues play either other (rather then the AFL) but when the VFL plays it would be rough on many other leagues due to there being many AFL players in the VFL.

The AFL players aren't allowed to play state football at VFL level. the VFL played the SANFL last year and won. This year, SANFL played the WAFL.

Means the SFL Premier League might have a slim chance against the VFL if they ever arrange such game Wink
