yes, that sums it up pretty well. the fact that nrl is shown in melbourne at the same time that channel 9 shows afl in nsw and qld (the middle of the night) makes the comment all the more ridiculous.

Some of you people from Melbourne should be bluddy well ashamed of your comments against your fellow pie fans.

Have a good look at your comments. Think yourself very fortunate that you are able to attend games. There are many many 1000's of fans outside of Melbourne that get screwed for any TV coverage. And don't give me that bullshit about, (well why don't you move) that is just an arrogant ignorant comment.

If you don't damn well care, then don't comment.

Geeze I wish you lot would get off the cats tail and give the dog ago.
Firstly Ch9 is owned BY Packer....who is a NRL follower.The NRL/ARL have got a 10 year contract with Ch9 for replays of the Thugby leagus on Sunday afternoons and Friday nights and for that matter ANY TIME they feel right.There is NOTHING that the AFL can do about this.
We here in NSW along with the other states,GET AFL when the stations feel like it.
We dont follow on from Melbourne and never have/never will.
We out here in RURAL NSW are subscribes to Austar,which we are FORTUNATE to get a filter of trhe FOXTEL,which originates from Melbourne and the capitals.
We are fortunate enough to get replays of most of the games,BUT due to the contractural agreement that Ch9 have with the NRL we get to see the games late,BUT on the other hand we getto watchthe games on Foxfooty,so what the heck is all the complaining about.
Ch9 have always been NRL orientated in NSW & Qld,so we cant do anythingabout it.Probably the only way to get AFL onto evening ch9 is to get rid of the Packers and the supporters of NRL.
We are also lucky enough to get the AFL footy show at 12:30am but because the NRL footy show is on CH9 it is shown live.
It is all the rerason because the Packers own the 9 network,that,Ch9 have a 10 year contract to show NRL/ARL and there aint a bloody thing that we can do to change it,SO I suggest that we be thankful for what we get and keep the chin up.

Interstate fans can get stuffed eh? If that's the viewpoint of the supporters then is it any wonder why the last 2 interstate functions (Syd & bris) have been getting criticism....maybe the whole of Victoria thinks that way.

I have a question for all you people who "own" football. Do you own Collingwood too? Do you have any more claim to them than me? I mean let's face it, you do live there and get to see them more often...surely I'm just some bandwagoner.....

It appears that some Victorians think the line of the song should be changed to:
"Side by side we stick together - unless you are from interstate then you can get f***ed"

We love Collingwood every bit as much as the likes of magpie_1983 and CQ. However we live elsewhere due to family and job commitments.

If supporting Collingwood means I have to move to Melbourne and become an arrogant Victorian then I would start to follow the basketball instead!!! God help me if I became anything like the two I mentioned.
