Apparently Bowden's manager has been linked to conversations with Collingwood about possibly coming to the pies next year..

Would he be worth gambling on? He'll be 30 this year

I can tell you that he has committed to joining Balwyn Tigers next year if he is delisted. He wants to finish his football with his brother.

We want strong will commited head over the ball players, not receivers.

Joel Bowden to Collingwood??? This would make a funny April fools day joke, only its not April fools day.

Bowden has always been an ordinary player for Richmond, and he is one of many reasons why Richmond have struggled over the years. He likes to pick up lots of cheap kicks and uncontested marks on the backline, and despite that continually turns over the ball!

Would love to see the Pies trade for Ryan Crowley, from the Dockers, next year.
Skillful, tough, quick, has a big tank, get's the hard ball, has some mongrel about him, and can tag a player out of the game. Just what our midfield needs.

Was a Magpie supporter before being drafted to the Dockers also. Good player but with Freo strugling with their ancient list they will be desperate to retain young running players.

Personally I think they would probably accept Holland + Lonie + 2nd round pick for him. If they did it would be a bargain, no disrespect to Holland or Lonie just a fact that Crowley will / is going to be a very, very good player for many more years to come and would suit the Collingwood game plan.
