Heath Scotland wasn't in our best 22, I think J Mac might be in about he same place. I'll be sorry to see him go.

With the Salary Cap squeeze, I doubt we'll get any senior guys chasing any half decent $.

If we lose Toovey because of $50k, I doubt we have any room.

Crowly would be handy, but he'd want too much $ to fit our Cap.

We'll be reduced to pick up a senior player on base salary looking for a 2nd/3rd chance to resurrect a career (ala L.Brown). Or an unkown yet to play seniors. We can get these guys through trade or possibly a late draft picks.

Fev would be a current example. .......... any nibbles? Wink

Whispers of a 3 way deal Pies, WCE And Port. Jmac part of it, and Ebert landing to Port.

Any one else hearing this?

Just around on a couple of other Footy Forums. Pies after a 1st round pick and will involve a deal with WCE and Port.

Sorry do not know particulars.

Thanks for bringing us up to date, Phanto. I don't doubt your report but I would be surprised if JMac (without more) could attract a 1st round pick, so it seems there must be more to it? Please post again on this if you hear any more details.

Could Toovey be part of the bargain, if he has decided he wants out and back to WA?

Intruiging...

I don't think JMac has shown as much as Scotland did during his time at Collingwood.

I wonder what a second chance at a new club might do for him?
Couldn't be worth much to trade for, or to pay.

WCE trade Ebert to Port for Port's First round Pick. WCE First round (and maybe another player) to Collingwood for Jmac and or one of Tooves or the Caff.

Now this is the latest Whisper...

WCE trade Ebert to Port for Port's First round. WCE then use that First Round Pick from Port to Collingwood for Jmac, and either Tooves or Caff.

I have trouble coming to terms with Ebert being worth as much as J Mac and the Caff... and Ebert being worth a first round pick

Edit...

Added that my latest mail tells me that the trades with Ebert involve WC, Port, GWS and Doggies
