Another great game from Mini-Tooves, growing in confidence on the weekly basis and is gradually eliminating long kicks to no one out of his game.

His disposal was pretty much faultless tonight. Unlike our friend Sinclair who was his usual woeful self.

Lot to like about this kid on the football field and may be the hard nut, close checking, hard tackling, hard running, negating, small back pocket man we've been craving.

Yep.

Keefe is definitely a KPB and having Cloke, Reid and Lynch up forward would worry the heck out of most backlines.

Worry most backlines? Sure it would. But it would terrify OUR backline. Three key forwards and only one of them capable of kicking straight enough to hit the side of a bus from two metres out. Scary stuff indeed!

------------------------------------

Actually, I don't mind Reid up forward but we never, ever, every go well with three genuine talls up front. Never. Two talls is our limit. (Even in our premiership year, Leigh Brown only went forward a little bit - he rucked, ran around in the middle, went back to mind the opposition ruckman resting in the pocket .... he actually only played as an occasional forward. Three talls for us just doesn't work.

In any case, our best third tall(ish) is Tyson Goldsack. By the time you have two KPPs and Goldie, you really only have room for three small forwards, or two smalls and a medium. My first choices for those are Elliott, Didak, and probably Martin. (Assuming we count Dwyer as a midfielder.)

Bit rough on Sinclair today I reckon. I thought he took a couple of nice marks, hit a couple of tackles and generally went hard at the contest.
Maybe missed a target from what I can remember and, while spoiling Davey, ended up falling over while Davey ran into goal. Still Davey just plays back off the ball. Hard to respect his style of play.

+1 thought he had a reasonable game and showed intensity others lack.
