I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

Definitely prefer to keep him, but if he is offered ridiculous money to move we would be silly to match it. Hopefully he will accept a one year deal & do it all again next year when hopefully he is in a better bargaining position for a pay rise. Keep him on the same cash & renegotiate next year. I don't think we can be fairer than that considering what we have got out of him since the last contract was signed two years ago.

Not important to the team any more. Important from a marketing perspective, but I think Fasolo is keen to take over "thommo's team".

Are you high? We are a significantly better side with a fit Daisy in the lineup.

he is still a very important player when fit.

1) This is actually his second year injured technically speaking, he played most of last year caring the injury to the other ankle.

2) i agree, that if he wants 'more money' then we should let him go. a great midfielder yes, is he irreplaceable? i would say not. and not at the expense of risking losing a young gun and a couple of seasons time.

I would love to see him in black and white going forward. i just hope and i am confident that he would be aware of the fact that these injuries would have lowered his value not increased it.

^ Well, it worked for Selwood.

Oh, sorry. That was his head. My mistake.

I hope Daisy stays. He's a gun player who always gives his all and is a game turner and match winner. I remember him as easily our player in the 2010 finals series.

I think Fas could be anything. When he loses the 'Kid" thing,He will be a star and COULD be as good,if not better than Daisy. I'd prefer they were both in the side, but if we need to choose, then Fas,with a decade or more in front of him, looks to be the logical conclusion.

Now why the hell would Richmond trade a player with years ahead of him for someone who is one injury away from career over?

Geez we overrate our own. Rolling Eyes

Martin is good, but Daisy was better. I don't think Dale is done, his ankle isn't the end of him necessarily. Martin may be as good as Dale, but he's light years from Daisy's best atm.

Geez we have short memories...

Wasn't Greg Swan with us when we passed on securing another injured star Stevie Johnston ?...We know how that worked out.......He wont let that situation bite his arse again and let an injury to Daisy scare the Scum off from offering big $$$ to secure him.......Conversely we cant let one year of injuries to Daisy dilute his future worth to us on the field..We must offer him as much as we can afford without stuffing up the rest of the playing lists potential earnings and contracts and if the Scum top this and Daisy goes to for the $$$..then so be it.......All will not be lost......as my 9 year old son has said... we have another Thomas now that could take over the #13 and be the nw face of Thommo's 13 Junior Membership Smile

i hate these threads. Players must think we are all jokers! No wonder some of them make decisions for themselves without emotion. We are all a joke to be starting threads like this when the guy has busted his arse for the past 16 weeks to try to get up for the finals and has just had a devastating reoccurrance of his injury.

I would hate to go to war with you muppets!
