Lynch was unlikely to get a game while we have fit players. But he was good depth for us. Especially if we wanted to rest some big blokes against weaker teams late in the season.

This isn't good for our list management or the big fella. It weakens our underbelly.

We also needed him for structures in the VFL. It significantly weakens this side where we are trying to make finals to support our AFL finals campaign.

I'm also offended by DTM 's attitude. It's not good for the club or for Lynch. Try that for "truth".

Get well soon Lynchy.

Christ Melliot he aint dead old son.

Probably back in 8-10 weeks so he'll still be able to provide back up support for the last 6 to 8 weeks in the VFL.

Till then hopefully Cloke, Reid, White, Keeffe, Grundy, Witts and Hudson can hold down the forward and ruck positions.

Broken leg generally means season gone. I'm guess it depends how bad of a break. Problem is it takes 2 months to get conditioning back. So isn't impossible but unlikely.

No need for smart ass comments mate, the dude just broke his bloody leg playing for our club FFS.

Just completely lacks respect for the club you claim to support and the players who represent it. Tasteless and completely unnecessary.

That's 1 more than you or I could manage. Carried the 2nd ruck position on a broken body for most of 2013, has earned our gratitude and respect.

It's a real shame to see a player like Lynch go down with a broken leg. I don't like seeing any player get seriously hurt like that. I also hope it doesn't end him as a player.

I remember Lynch saying prior to him coming to Collingwood, that if he got his little finger fixed, it would end him as a player and it's something he would do once his time is up.

At the moment, I haven't seen anything else, it's only a suspected broken leg.

If it has been confirmed as broken please let me know

That being said, Pendles had a broken leg the other year, and made a come back. If it was Gary Rowan broken, then I don't think so.

If it's minor, he can still play a part in our season in the second half of the year.

I think young Jezza might have the sidekick role tied up at the moment, at least when it comes to paying out on the Scum over at Filth Park...

Pretty much my thoughts exactly.

Dave, you might not rate him but he gave his all for us while playing the bulk of the season injured last year, and was the sole reason we beat the scum early in the season. He deserves some respect.

I'm sorry he broke his leg but I'm happy he doesn't look like playing senior footy (for us ) again.

BINGO

stupid signing by the Pies, and ousted a fan fave in Dawes.

Sorry to see a potential broken leg, but he played 1 good game in 2 years.

Didn't oust Dawes. Dawes was gone, for decent draft pick compensation. Lynch was signed as a replacement. And he actually performed better than Dawes did in 2012.
