Race has nothing to do with ability to play AFL.
The only reason the father/son thing is so popular is because you have kids growing up 24x7 living and breathing elite AFL football which kind of makes most of them develop into good AFL players.

Peter was a compulsory rookie delisting.
"Peter Yagmoor has been informed that he will not be continuing his career at the Westpac Centre" sounds pretty definitive but I would have thought Peter would be an outside chance to get a 'Corey Gault' second chance in 2015 depending on who else is available. (EDIT: Oops...he was already on a second chance Embarassed )

He has impeccable timing at the contest and his decision making was always improving. He also held together a makeshift backline in the VFL this year and played with a different back six every week. being one of very few that managed to keep his body together in 2014 must also work in his favour.

If it is not be to, then so be it and thanks for the laughs Pete and good luck with wherever life takes you next.

^^ Not too sure his dropping from the senior list to the rookie list qualifies as a second chance, more an acknowledgement of where his development was at. Wouldn't mind if he was re-drafted to the rookie list for 2015.

How do VFL listed players work for AFL clubs??
Is it worth it for the club to keep guys like him around (for example), for leadership and helping new guys adapt to tactics and things like that??
Pay a guy a standard VFL wage like a good player at Port Melb or Willy would be on.......
