In the short term I actually think Dwyer is probably the closest like for like replacement to Sidey but how is his ankle?

Was reported as being BOG for us in the VFL before the ankle issue.

Easy to forget how good he was in 2013 before injury took it's toll last year.

Seedsman, broomhead, dwyer and moore in the best, so there are a couple sidebottom types in that lot to replace him.
I didnt read about an injury to dwyer but that doesnt mean much. Some ankles you can go down in a screaming heap and be fine an hour later. Hopefully twas one of those.

Just got worse.

Bucks on AFL 360 said 6-8 weeks.

Can't take a break, first Levi, now Sidey.

Thought a pin will reduce weeks Down to 4 weeks...that's why the pin?

Bucks said pin and 6-8 so I guess we go off that. I hope you are correct though.

What they gave us weeks? No medium/long term shit or is that Balmes job to keep us guessing. Still it's going to be a big loss coupled with not having Greenwood for a while

The pin ( s ) stabilize the bone and make for a more perfect knit. Thats about 4 weeks. Usually ( but not always ) the pins are then removed which means more invasive surgery that adds the extra 2 / 3 weeks for the area to heal over. The good news is, if its being pinned, they have decided to do it properly, rather than run the risk of bringing him back early and not having healed properly.

Fugg it. Why can't he play with the busted thumb. Just jab him up every game and get him righted in the off season.
