Pretty damn weird, considering his Grandpa was a former great Magpies Captain, I really don't get that one. Confused Shocked

Well his Dad, Mark did not have much success at Collingwood, and perhaps he blamed the club for this and passed on these negative attitudes to his son? I've got no idea, but it's possible.

Great example of the uniformed crap regularly touted on here. I only come on here to take a temperature check on the fans attitude and it's the first time I've posted in a while. Mark Weideman remains a staunch Collingwood man - like his Dad. I know that because I've heard it from his own mouth.

Ok then, pops and dad love the club and junior doesn't, let's not waste any more time discussing him then, he's under the influence of the emperor now (Barassi) and lost to the dark side.

There is still good in him...

Ease up cowboy. I stated quite clearly that I had "no idea". All I was doing was trying to come up with a possible explanation. If you know the family as well as you seem to, perhaps you could enlighten us as to the reason, without accusing others of posting "crap". If you can't do that, then perhaps you had better not post on here again for a while, as attacking fellow Nicksters is not appreciated....not by me anyway.

Like Rude Boy I have no idea what motivated young Weideman, It can be hard to play at a club where your Dad or Granddad has been a legend. I hope Nicksters keep this firmly in mind when Josh Daicos comes to the club next year and don't overburden the kid with expectations. For every Heath Shaw (better than his Dad) there are an equal number of Braydon Shaws.

Mark is such a staunch Collingwood man that he allowed his son to barrack for another team. I'm sorry but that just ain't good enough.

IIRC, people tried to burn his house down for less!

Kids barrack for different sides, not a big deal, at least for me anyway.

It's a shame his dad didn't play enough games for us, but that's life, all the best to the lad hopefully a good career awaits him.

Must be, no one gets injuries unless Devoran is working for them. Laughing
