Reckon his finals performances might just push Crisp over the line again. De Goey probably not far behind and Josh Daicos comes third I reckon.

Pendlebury should win. Whether he does is a different question. Our greatest ever player is still our best by a long way. Crisp was magnificent and would be a worthy winner but the Captain played the opposition on his own in a very undermanned midfield. He’s been more spectacular in other years, notably with Swan, Thomas, Ball and a young Sidebottom helping out - and Travis to kick to - but getting Collingwood to a preliminary final this year without much help may have been his greatest effort of all.

My prediction for the night is: it will be announced that Daicos will continue in the #35. And that JDG (and hopefully Henry) has signed his contract.

It may not mean anything much, of course, but the Club has nominated Nick Daicos, Jack Crisp and Jeremy Howe for the AFLPA MVP award: https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/1206026/five-things-we-learned-round-23-v-carlton

That's a bit of a hint about how Collingwood thinks its players are travelling at the end of the home and away season.

Crisp and Nick we can understand but Howe had a poor year. He and Moore lost form under McRae. Murphy bolstered backline but did not play enough games to crack the top 10.
