^only issue is two mids for a mid and fwd.

Fin is first out though.

The one big in I can see is the “Glass half empty” match day thread. Kinda like the press red for Ed.

We are a great side on the road. Always have been. GC are awesome at home and generally crap away. Gonna be tough this one. Another 4pts would be a great outcome. I trust our selection team to simultaneously play the long and short game of what’s best for our season.

I remember reading somewhere that GC lost the last few matches at home.

They've won their last five at Carrara, which is all five they've played up there this year. Having said that, four of those five wins were against West Coast, Hawthorn, Adelaide and Richmond, so maybe we shouldn't be reading too much into that stat (their only victory over a top 8 team at home was against Essendon by 11 points).

Last year (and also the year before) they had 5 wins and 4 losses from 9 games at Carrara, so there's not much evidence base to declare them invincible or even necessarily particularly hard to beat up there. The one place I genuinely wouldn't want to play them is Darwin, where they have a far more formidable record over the past few years.

its a Sell out as expected for a collingwood game up at Metricon or whatever shit name the stadium is now.

Yes i agree it will be a tough test against a Dima coached side.

Sun's small forwards need to be kept on a tight leash, and we need Billy down back on King to free up D.Moore to take intercept marks. If we dont allow the ball to come to ground their small forwards are unable to have an effect.

I think TJ would go out before Sullivan. With Checkers back, we can play Frampton and Howe in defence, where they are best suited. That would probably squeeze Dean (unlucky) out of the side.

Hopefully JDG is right to go, but certainly Pendles and Markov will be.

Ins: Pendles, Checkers, Markov

Outs: Macrae, TJ, Dean

Pies by 27 pts.

They've won their last 7 at home and lost last 7, away.

It feels like Dean is playing too well to be dropped for this game. I can see a line up where Dean holds his spot in the back line and Frampton retains his spot on the bench as the Jack of all trades big man. Ultimately, it might depend whether King returns or not because Day ( who was ok against Dockers ) won’t likely cause the same headaches that King is capable of.
It’s certainly going to make for an interesting selection committee with so many players available back for this game. And the big question, just where will W H E play this week ?

Was at the training session this am at AIA.
Both Checkers and Pendles both trained well.
Both should make it to Gold coast.
DeGoey was in and out on the oval and still has a couple of boxes to tick on thursday.
Oleg was also trained well along with Richards.
Bit of a turn out there which was good.
In dry but windy conditions at AIA.
Was a good session all round.

^ Good to hear. I'd rest Jordy for one more game, unless he is 100%.
Cheers for the update.
