I rank Sydney and GWS ahead of the Hawks, but given their experience they cannot be discounted as possible Premiers. Atm I'm tipping a Swans v Giants Grand Final. |
I agree with you Rudeboy, GWS has the class and Sydney have the mongrel.
As we have seen if someone takes out Mitchell and the Hawks have no playmaker. The Hawks will have to have everything go their way ie injuries to GWS and Sydney players to get there. |

It takes a lot to win a premiership. It is truly exceptional to win 3 in a row. Mathematically the odds are against them but they are certainly in with a solid shot.

If its any consolation they might win 4 but will probably find it extremely difficult to win 5. The dilution of the talent pool with the 2 extra teams has made it harder for teams to catch what they had already built and been building through Box Hill.

Yes, the odds are shortening with every damn flag they win, of winning the next. I think most of us were reasonably confident after they won the second they wouldn't win a third, surely someone else would rise. Then look what happened. Then after last year most thought surely they can't win a fourth and will slide down the ladder. Yet mid season they are a game clear on top. After seemingly cruising under the radar (very lucky not to lose a few close and controversial ones early in the season, I must say).

They do keep winning but their form is far from impressive.
Not for mine without Roughead and with an ageing, less reliable playing list.
