I would trade pick 7 for J. Smith. He is what we need, a pacey hbf with excellelent disposal skills.

Btw, they have avoided asking him so far, because they are interviewing some bloke.

Glenn Robbins I think, who knows why.

Bah, he'll probably be all cagey and shit, and refuse to say anything.

Pity there's no Footy Show tonight, though - it would have been a cracker.

If we trade either pick 7 or Lonie for Smith we are f**kin insane.

O'Bree, McG or pick 23; some combination of no more than 2 of these. Can't see why the Hawks wouldn't take either player as they are going to need some good honest midfielders. We simply have too many of this type.

Smith adds a lot more to our overall team than either of these 2 but I don't think he's worth a "lucrative" contract.

I wouldn't do it. We have players exactly the same as him (Johnson and Cole). Why stunt their growth? If we were to get him, it would have to be O'Bree + Shaw/McGough. No more then that. He gets many of his kicks short across the backline. He is not needed. Is there any news on the deal?

If he refuses to say anything, I think that means something.

He would add plenty to our side. A fair bit anyway. Allows us to be a bit more flexible.

Like I said, I wouldn't do it for Pick 7, but if we can get him, we might as well.

Getting him wouldn't stunt the growth of Cole and Johnson, it would allow them to take on a more midfield oriented role.
