Somehow I don't think they would be too interested in that deal.

saying that, i wouldn't mind nick too much, but what about the price - some of our guys are surely due for a pay rise next year the way they've been playing

money - no problem.
how to get a deal done is the hard part. me thinks a third or even fourth party would be necessary.
time will tell.

I think it's a place called Shangri La, Hal and I wish you'd go there with him, you over-rated pile of Microsoft rubbish. We all know you're The PC Hal and not the Mac Hal don't we? Hmmmm?

Please note Noddy: humour....I'm really good at it.

Hey Zakal you forgot a couple more!

We could easily throw in Davies and Rusling.

Davies is just not good enough and Rusling is never gonna be fit.

That's four we can trade.

Reckon they'd swap Reiwoldt if we gave them all four? heheh Wink

Stuff Reiwoldt anyway...we'd rather Dal Santo. Injuries aside, i dont really think we'll have too many Forward line troubles anytime soon.

why would he go back to brisbane, sure its his home, but every afl player wants to win a premiership, dont think that will happen at brisy in his life time, and if he only cares about the money, dont want him anywhere near collingwood anyway.

Just curious if anyone knows, but what is the depth of this years draft like???
The reason why I ask is that I believe that we have recruited very well in the past 3 seasons and I believe that either Dal Santo or Riewoldt would be worth a first round pick easily! Dal Santo is about 24 and Riewoldt 25 so if we are looking at a premiership window of 2008-2012, you would think they would substantially help that and would fit in perfectly!

I know there is a lot of rumour at the moment and most is probably bullcrap but you wonder as to what St Bulnda would accept for either one of those!

Quality of this years draft is very good. Last year was a bumper year as we all know. Whilst the depth last year went to 60 -70 I think you will find this year it is more likely to be to 40-50.

Of course, champs have not been played yet but we have seen a fair bit of the NSW / QLD / Tas sides. SA will also provide a handful of players this year but I think the real quality will come from Vic / WA / QLD. QLD have got a number of very exciting kids.

In terms of player types you will this draft is plentiful with ruck prospects. I would be thinking at least 10 rucks will be taken this year and the#1 pick will almost certainly be Kruezer, an outstanding ruck prospect from VIC. Midfielders also feature prominently with a number of kids available who would have been taken last year if they could have been (eg Vespremi, Masten, Maric, Arrowsmith etc)

If people would like me to put together a list of the top 20-30 at this early stage i would be happy to.

Riewoldt is a super star and you'd throw anything to get him. However please people dont be fooled into thinking the Saints would take a bunch of our rejects.

If you were serious about Riewoldt you are talking 2 first round draft picks. Tarrant was a first round draft pick in a super draft year.....Riewoldt is twice the player Tarrant is. Id give up a first round pick in a heartbeat for him.

Yeah not sure I would be giving up two first round picks to get Nick.Terrific player but investing in kids is the way to go for a bit yet.
