Me too Wokko, and that was when he was in a bloody shithouse team. Imagine Swan, Pendles, Daisy and company slamming it into his guts. I say get him for nothing. He stuffs up, piss him off. More to be gained than lost. I couldn't give a shit if he's a knob. I just want another frickin' flag and reckon if he does the right thing by himself and club we'll get one next year. Too much thought going on around here about why we shouldn't get him.

The reason he kicked so many goals at Carlton was precisely because they were shithouse - and he frequently contributed to their problems on field.
I expect he'd definitely be a bigger goal scorer than Dawes if he came to the club next year, with maybe around 50-60 at most.

Get him. Two years for peanuts. We pay blokes squillions at the club to manage the players so they just might have to be on their toes with him and earn their keep. Having a knob jockey or two in a club doesn't have to be looked at as derailing youngsters, either. Character building to be around those types, they can make men out of you as you learn from their experiences and their personalities. We don't need to be helicopter parents about a bloke like this ffs.
I was dead-set against this bloke at one stage but I'm now convinced this is a punt worth taking. Jeepers, who knows, we just might make a man out of him, guide him in the right direction and he repays the faith.

I've got no problem with him not being a role model. In fact, as you point out, many other players, including some at Collingwood, have been more 'troubled' off the field than poor old Fev. However, I don't want him because I don't think he's worth much as a footballer any more. Our structure is all about a team press and fanatical tackling. Fev has always been a very talented, but lazy footballer. I much prefer Dawes and Cloke as our power forwards. |

His crimes were being a passenger in the car of a murderer.
And... Being a passenger in the car of a drunk driver. Dids has never been accused of anything that would induce criminal charges. He's simply been at the wrong place at the wrong time. |

If sorry, WHEN he gets pissed at a club function would the wags be safe? That sort of thing would tear the heart out of a club.
