That'd make it the tenth year in a row that he's been robbed.

What's this going to do to his Brownlow chances now? I bet you 35forever is devastated. No Brownlow this year I guess.

The silence has been deafening, hasn't it?

Maybe he's keeping a silent vigil for Dale's career. We can only hope.

Given the career ending possibilities of his injury, his manager's focus must now turn to his future employment.

So I expect talks are already underway with Chan 7, Foxtel and radio stations about a few guest appearances in the commentary box for a bit of 'expert analysis'. A try out to see what his style is and to gauge public reaction via focus groups and private polling.

Expect him to pop up on air during a Collingwood game sometime soon.

Actually he is exceptionally useful to us where he is now.

Taking up 700K in the blues cap space and giving diddly swat in return. Keep up the good work Daisy😄

Only 6 weeks, apparently. No surgery required.

I'd still be happy to perform some on him (without anaesthetic or, for that matter, a medical licence).

With Mick and Butters down there chances are he'll miss the whole season.

That's pretty much what we heard when he did his ankle too.

Geez you'd be going straight for that shoulder upon his return.

I dislocated my shoulder.

It didn't require surgery either but it took nothing for the bastard to keep popping out afterwards and they all hurt.

Not being a medical expert I'd still think shoulder surgery would be preferable to running out and getting smashed by elite athletes week after week in a contact sport, for the long term recovery of your shoulder.

This isn't about long-term recovery of a shoulder, though - it's all about long-term recovery of a coach's credibility.

I tell you now his shoulder will go ping again before the season is out and he'll go in for surgery.

Shoulder injuries are a curse for footballers just like knee injuries.
