Whole team was ordinary in the first q-under huge pressure- confidence shaken
Yep- he stuffed up but he needs time to adjust- did some bloody nice things and will be a force- he is still only 22- just a baby.
Get games into him.
Realistically we are not a contender this year.
Pump games into the young guys to have a crack in 2016/17.
Stop being as emotional as Michael Hutchence |
Right on, he wasn't our worst by a long shot, I was more angry with Shank kick Cloke, and his constant shit kicking for goal. |
How about putting Grundy/Witts interchanging at full-forward and Cloke not allowed inside the 50? Time to think outside the goal square. |
spot on GG! and we drop White and Blairy for De Goey and Gaultand open that forward line up so Grundy or Witts have one on one clashes |
Yes, Yes, Yes |

Ideally, it would have been Witts. He can't be a 7 foot goliath and think it's up to his teammates to discipline the opposition forward pocket
Doesn't have to completely smash him either. Just pick him up and shake him a bit. Put him in a choke hold. Maybe throw him into the fence. That sort of thing. Perhaps he could pick him up and play him like a concertina for laughs until the cavalry arrives and then go around smacking cats players over the head with him. If Motlop comes back after that all full of lip, then fine, give him a bit of Barry Hall to help with the slow learning.
Short little uppity men need to know their place. |

^^ Need to get you down to training for some one on one work with Witts.
Reckon (hope?) there is very little chance of him being dropped this week. Also reckon he'll be a lot better next week. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

Absolutely. I hope Bucks shows Witts a highlight reel of Mumford crashing packs with GWS against the Hawks on the weekend. Big Mummy played as a genuine enforcer, knocking Hawks players out the way all afternoon. That's how a ruckman should play, especially one built like Witts. |

Very surprising performance by Wittsy after his well documented stellar preparation with a injury free pre-season & a gradual building of form over the first few rounds he should have been well & truly match fit by now. _________________ Assistant Coach # 23,738 |

He had shoulder surgery in the preseason. |

Absolutely. It's not as though there are no role models - Shane Mumford, Don Scott, Crackers Keenan, Dean Cox, Shaun Rehn, John Nichols, Mick Nolan, Tony Lockett (for when he's resting forward), Damian Monkhorst (can we get him back to where he belongs? He's brought young Magpie discard Jonathan Ceglar along nicely. We need him to show Witts how to play unsociably) - plenty to choose from. _________________ If you used to barrack for the 'Pies, you never barracked for the 'Pies. |

7ft Goliath is apt! Players very rarely develop mongrel. It's natural NOT nurtured so if there is any chance it can be instilled, better to be hard and demanding on him at 22 years of age than at 27. We don't want another Wes Fellowes. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

When he began at Collingwood, his aggression and tackling pressure were mentioned as features of his game. Some how he seems to have lost it a bit. Hopefully it will return. |
