Yep, he would never have left if his heart was truly in Collingwood. I actually think his heart is represented as a pea on a $100 note..... Twisted Evil

I would be surprised if he is on Carltons list next year. They will pay someone to take him off their hands.

Who'd want him?

Maybe Melbourne, perhaps the saints, Essendon if WADA strikes.

Even then the scum would have to pay at least 50% of his $700,000 salary to get anyone interested and I'm not sure of the rules surrounding this in terms of salary cap relief for them.

They'd be lucky to get a late 3rd rounder for him. Laughing

back to the Pies

In what capacity?

Maybe apprentice boot studder , water boy or as the guy who wears the magpie mascot suit pre game.

As a player who would touch him? He hasn't fired a shot on field since 2011 and his body is gone gone gone. What made him a good (not great) player was his burst speed, athleticism and multiple efforts and he physically can not do what he once could. Take away those attributes and you're left with a forward flanker/ mid with modest ball wining abilities who can't kick over a jam tin.

Carlton are welcome to him.

He can get stuffed if he thinks he can have my job!!

Laughing

You're right. An ex Carlton player has no place holding down such a prestigious job as Collingwood mascot. He can jump on the scum hovercraft on the bottom of the Yarra for all I care.

For what it's worth I've always thought our mascot was hands down better performed than any other clubs. Well down to you my friend.

As it turns out, Daisy did the right thing by us and himself when he accepted $700,000 pa from the Blues. He would never have got anything like that sort of dosh from us and he would have given us nothing on the field for 2 years. Contributing to the Blues spiral into oblivion is the icing on the cake. Well done Daisy. I'll always remember you for your brilliant 2010 finals campaign.

I am with you 100% on the RudeBoy. In the circumstance there is only one decision Daisy could make. His body was failing and the best option was to run and take the money. Also the situation was tainted by the relationship between Daisy and MM which I never thought as health as MM should have been equally committed to all of his players.

One thing for sure this has hurt the Scum and contributed to the fall of MM.

I don't, his heart was never in Collingwood either, good riddance.

No more Tarrant disasters!

In what world was Tarrant a disaster?

In either stint!

I concur. Taz was great for us in the backline when he returned. I remember him smashing a Dogs player (I think it was Dogs) at Etihad one night on the boundary. Loved it.

Yes I admit I was stumped by this comment as well. Tazza was great for Collingwood I thought.

I am sad for Daisy, I have wished him no ill will I was sad he left but what can you do? Carlton took the risk and it hasn't been rewarded.

It's pretty rare I venture over to Tanking Carlton, the immune system needs to be absolutely 100%. Anyway I went over to see if there was a Dale Thomas thread. In my short time there I didn't see one (although surely there must be), as the most recent and predominant threads are all about their Board, list management, new coaches, and you guessed it, tanking.

One of the most amusing is their thread "What's Our Song?" considering what song they could use like Port Adelaide do with "Never Tear Us Apart". The best suggestion is Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing". Nice work. Surely aimed at quite a few of their upper echelon players, including $Daisy.

Eddiesmith logic dictates he was a disaster because we didn't win a premiership with him in the side. Ignore the fact that if we hadn't traded him in we would have had no experienced KPD to replace Nathan Brown when he did his ACL in 2011.

I've got some sympathy for Dale but obviously his team can suck shit!

The shoulder issue probably stems from not getting the pen out of his pocket quick enough to sign the new contract
