India and Canada was washed out. England v Namibia nearly was - but, sadly, they were able to manage 10 overs a side and England won easily. Scotalnd v Australia at 10.30 thias morning decides England's fate. If the game is rained out or Scotland wins, England is done.

Not rained out, Australia won the toss, Scotland batting first, 3/145 off 14 overs. Cummins and Hazelwood rested for Agar and Ellis.

Can they do it? England will cry foul if the Aussies lose this!

^ Well, they could just have beaten Australia when they had the chance. That's how they're in this position.

Meanwhile, Australia is 1/2, early in the second over. Warner gorrrrrnnnnnnn. The win probability worm has Scotland at 58.3%.

Marsh gone - holed out. 2/35 after 5.2. Maxwell and Head at the crease. The Aussies must get both of these guys out - and soon - or we could have an unforgivably efficient run chase.

One over to come. Australia must keep it to 3 runs or under. Head and Stoinis have, I feel, ruined a great moment in English cricket.

Scores are level. Scotland just dropped a David miscue.

Australia 5/186, two balls to spare. Scotland gone. England, sadly, not.

There would have been sphincters puckering all over England when that ball was in the air and the fielder underneath. Laughing

First two "Super 8s" games have been played. The teams are divided into 2 groups of 4. Somehow, Australia's prize for topping its group is to be in the same 4 as India.

The games played were in the other group. SA beat the USA and England beat the WIndies. England now look certainties to make the semis (they play SA and the USA).

Really, Australia made a grave mistake not opening the bowling against Scotland with its usual attack. For mine, I think Zampa should have been asked to open, bowling medium-fast swing, coupled with Maxwell, who should have been ordered to bowl only bouncers. Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood would, in my view, have represented a challenging leg-spin attack.

As it is, we beat England and, after that, could have just put the Super 8s out of reach for them. It's crazy that we didn't - the Poms will probably get played into form by the WIndies and the USA and then win the thing - but we had it in our power to send them home.
