i think if we went out and recruited all these kids that can play it would take away the point of having a forum game.
it would be grouse to be the team that wins on the day and with all the stars but if we did this it would take away game time from our own collingwood nicks posters and it wouldnt be the same.
i think these forum days need to be made in a way that all teams have around the same numbers. this ofcourse would be hard to do.
even though we lost i thought it was good fun playing with nicks posters and having a good old time
it would be awesome if we could get richmond and essendon down too |

no bringing 10 mates. Goes against the real reason behind the game...getting the Nicksters together for a bit of fun.
We just have to find a forum full of duds like ourselves. What are the doggies like? _________________ There's more to life than footy.........just not much more. |

you have to remember that the demons have 2 forums of players in demonland and demonology if im correct so they were always going to have the numbers.
i think in feb the comp will pan out a bit more and it should be a little bit closer. |

If that's the case, should we recruit from LSD or something? How about Bigfooty? _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

in the next one dtm has to play! then we can make him captain.
we had the youth but we lacked the skills for the game.
it should be just people on forums who play, if you cant get 22 players minium you go with out of the team tells the other team to pull out x amount of players for that game. or seeing as we are going to play other teams get x amount of players from the other clubs to make up numbers |

Can we make an exception for my ring ins considering Gav and Conaz have played the last 3 times we've played going back to Punt Rd End at Gosches? They meet the criteria of being average punters who support Collingwood and don't play serious footy anywhere. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Why don't they become members of Nicks? They could even just post once a year, but post nonetheless, therefore being legit forum players? |

Hi guys,
I'm Phoenix from TalkingCarlton and was wondering if you were interested in a stand alone game against us some time in early December?
We're looking to have a round robin every year now on the weekend after cup weekend and the following February as well, but I thought it'd be a good chance to have agame just between ourselves.
Whaddayathink?
Looking forward to hearing from anyone soon.
Cheers

I'd be reasonably enthusiastic to play again in theory, but it'd have to be far cooler than it was on Sunday. Not football playing temperature. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Definitely.
We could shorten the quarters to 15 minutes. We'd only be playing the one game too. Perhaps even extend the half time breaks too.
Really keen to get this up and going if you all are. |

I dunno. To be honest, we struggled to get the numbers to the last game, and there are a few sore and sorry people (including myself). December might be ok, but it would have to be a sub-30 day, at least. I don't want to play in that kind of heat again. I can't speak for anyone, but it might be a bit of a stretch. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

What about earlier in the day?
Be there at 11, start at 11:30 and be done by 1. I think we all got burnt out the other weekend because we started playing at 1 and weren't done until 5. We were playing in extreme heat during those hours.
That way we are avoiding the hottest parts of the day and still get to have a run around.
And I'm sure if people on hear that a challenge has been laid down from Carlton, then every man and his dog on here will want to play. |

i thought 11-1 was technically the hottest part of the day. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |
