If it's 6 weeks, he could be back by the 2nd or 3rd week of the finals.

Trying to find any silver lining in both the Diacos and Murphy injuries, this side desperately needs to learn to win without Nick Diacos having to carry the load. Time for De Goey to play to his potential.

Nick Daicos will live in a Hyperbaric chamber- back in 5 weeks (first final)

Murphy back for first final

Mitchell needs a spell (two weeks seems about right).

Macrae, Carmichael, Frampton, Roscoe, McInnes all in the frame..

A six week injury means Nick should be available to play in the second week of the finals-there is a bye after the home and away season after all.So it’s definitely not season over for him as some are claiming.

In the mean time some of our senior midfielders like Degoey ((especially)Adams,Mitchell and Crisp need to pull their fingers out and start doing something.

Well it was bound to happen. It seems they went out yesterday to hurt Nick and they certainly did. I don’t know why there seems to be a media campaign that encourages crunching a young future champion. They never said that about the likes of Judd. No when it was Judd they insisted our champions needed protection from brutality. Yet when we get a prodigy, it’s open season.

I think it’s to do with us.When it’s a prodigy from another club they’re to be celebrated, when it’s a prodigy from our club they need to be dragged down and tagged to bring them down a peg.

Yep, that's right. Kane Cornes a key protagonist, but not alone, with many just plotting ways to bring about either Nick's, or our team's, downfall.

Seen this many times before and I remain disappointed that the club always cops it sweet instead of going hard and berating the opposition clubs, hack journos and players who cause the problems. It’s a defeatist attitude and mentality that makes it worse because of the people who do these things get away with doing wrong without any accountability or feedback. Even at this late stage the club can respond appropriately but I won’t hold my breath.

More injuries?

Sigh…

Also, when Nick went down, was it when we got those 2 back to back goals in 10secs?

Be thankful it wasn't worse news.

Still, given his talent and the contract extension he has just signed I wouldn't be risking his future for the now and that knee of his needs to be 100% before he plays again.

If that's 6 weeks great, if it's next year then we have to grin and bear it.

Mustn't allow any secondary knee issue to arise due to impatience.
