So, no more BB means fewer brain dead skanks on commercial TV.
Where to now? Australian Idol? Dance?
FOXTEL still has the goods with Australia's Next Top Bully. Who knows, maybe Jodhi (Paps) Meares will eventually overcome her fear of live TV and front for the next season's final.

I have to laugh at the comments on this thread.
Any TV show that lasted 8 seasons and contributed over 1000 hours of prime time (read highest revenue charges) has been a success.
You don't have to like it, you just have to acknowledge that it hit it's targets and made money for channel ten, and it's shareholders.
As for Gretal Killen, I truly admire the woman. She was quick witted and is possibly the greatest ad libber this nation has seen. Time and time again she was thrown into the deep end with no script and had to think her way out. Not many of the talking heads that make up the media circus in Australia could get by without a TelePrompter. |

Am I the only one that's slightly dissapointed?
Ok, so it has pretty much gone down the toilet this year & the last few years but it has made me laugh over the last few years. Did like FNL, thought it was pretty funny.
Never liked Getel, she got really annoying in the end.
Althought I did like it sometimes, I think it's the right decision to cut it. Has become really stupid etc.
I guess Zoo magazine sales might drop now, no more chicks......

whether people like it or watch it or not...
people talk about it.
i think you all have overlooked at what i think is the key factor to some reality televisions survival...
in what is now its 8th season, we have a generation out there who've grown up if not watching but finding out about them in the schoolyard.
a lot of these people actually aspire to appear in them...
i'm glad i've worked for these companies which means my kids could never get on...
for some of these people its 'fame' without being anything.
face it...this is the age of the instant z grade celebrity.
yep...ninja's make sure drinks etc are put out for the housemates.
i was mainly on friday night live...
which was actually a bit of fun...
and an earn lol...

LOL aren't we talking about the woman who would put her hand up to her earpiece, interrupt the person she was talking to and say "Wait a minute, Big Brother is trying to tell me something". That's a complete INABILITY to ad lib (and do two things at once). Obiously she's shit at it otherwise you'd hear all presenters acknowledge the backstage person talking in their ear. I found it very unprofessional.
