You know what? It's SO easy to go to the footy when your team is winning.

It's when they're struggling & morale is down, that's when the going gets tough.

SIDE BY SIDE, through think & thin, good times & bad, no matter what I'll be there week in week out.

We are battling with injuries right now, at full strength we will prevail.

Renewing my membership for 2010? Yep, you betcha!

I haven't read the whole thread, but I get the gist of it.

I could never leave the Pies, no matter what. They're in my blood and always will be.

I tried to once before. It was 1976 (our first wooden spoon year) and I got so fed up with their on-field performances that I said to myself "right, that's it, I'm going to follow Nth Melb from now on". I went to Arden St the next week but barely watched the game at all. All the time I was wondering "I wonder how the Pies are going?" And I would look up on the old scoreboard at 1/4 time, half time and 3/4 time to see the Pies' progressive score.

For the record, the Pies lost again that day too. But I realised I was addicted and I could never leave the fold. I felt weak for trying to desert them in the first place, but I guess it's a human failing.

Here's hoping MM gets another contract.
I hope some of you planning to leave are on level 2 in the Ponsford, because I am looking to upgrade my membership next year.

Turtle is one of the most loyal supporters going around - so for him to feel that way should make people sit up and take notice.

Its all well and good to say side by side, whatever the club does i will support it....

for mine its not even the fact that we are losing - have been watching us for over 20 years so have seen my fair share of losses over the time.

its more that WE ARE SOOOOOOOOOO BORING TO WATCH. Football is meant to be entertainment.

Who has been entertained by our football this year?

Get Bucks in as coach and lets turn things around.

Man looks into the abyss. There is nothing staring back at him. It is then that man discoveres his character and thats what keeps him from jumping into the abyss.

Pity you didnt come to level 2 last weekend - there was a mass exodus at 3/4 time. A fair share are sick of the style we play.

Just one thing though - having a seat on level 2 BEHIND THE GOALS is probably the worst seat in the ground under a MM coached team.

Yes, and where in the post does it say this refers to you? Sorry to bust your bubble mate but the world doesn't revolve around you. The whole thread is about turning your back on the club if MM stays. Interesting that you haven't answered the two questions I posed. Maybe you should ahem far cough and try and come up with an answer Wink

Yeah your probably right, might need to get an MCC membership then as 90% of the play was right in front of them. Very Happy

For me it's a question of what's bigger.

Eddies passion and love for Collingwood or his ego.

If Malthouse is reappointed then sadly it's his ego, Eddie has been wonderful for our club without question but if has one problem it's that he struggles to admit when he is wrong and get's his back up when challenged.

Malthouse has been very good for the club but ultimately he was brought here to win us a premiership. He failed. Although I personally don't subscribe to it does that mean by association Eddie has failed as well?

If he to was to believe he might be judged that way and to not renew Micks contract was a sign of his ultimate failure then the stubborness and ego within Ed might win out and he'll renew his contract just to stick it up his critics and buy himself sometime in the hope he'll be proven correct.

If however his passion and love for the black and white still is the most important ingredient of his presidency then he'll put friendship and ego aside and do what the majority of people on here and the wider football community believe is in the best interests of the club and replace Malthouse at years end.
