Whys it matter where O'Bree has his wedding? It is indeed his wedding, and he and his future wife can get married wherever they want.

Let's hope the wedding goes as expected and he and the new wife are very happy together. Smile

I just wasted 10 minutes of my life reading this ridiculous thread. If I was dying of cancer I'd come around and kill you all! Evil or Very Mad

[quote="Nick - Pie Man"]I have just heard that Presti is flying out to Shane O'Bree's wedding today. That's great, good on them, congrats to Cheesy and his new missus. (I assume its a missus) BUT I was horrified to read that this wedding was to be held in Bali. Bali is a place where bogans go for their holidays. It is far enough from Australia to be properly overseas and 'culcha' yet not so far that they have to learn a new language or eat ethnic food. It is also full of other Australian bogans soaking up the 'culcha' so they feel right at home. Just like taking a day trip out to the Fountaingate shopping centre!!

With the money that AFL players earn there is no reason why O'Bree couldn't have had his wedding somewhere nice, like Paris, London or Rome. To my mind there is no place in the world better than Paris, the city of love and French restaurants, to get married in. If I had the money that is where I would go to get married.quote]

Most of them have been to London a couple of years back and some went on to Paris. What you fail to appreciate is its a long flight to Europe and it's cold at this time of the year. Why wouold you there now and get married? Not only that, its the rudeness of the extended family and friends cost to travel there.

Yeah , well how many tryhard wannabes go to gay Pariiii for the "romance" of it all ..... big fu*king whoopeee.

Who is anyone to tell anyone what they should do.

He can get married wherever he likes , be it a bogan thing to do or otherwise.

You sound like a neo-liberal pseudo-intellectual pretentious wanker that probably drives a 318i BMW ( German Corolla ) and attends main events at the National Gallery then goes on and on about them to anyone that will listen to you being a "cultured" tosser.

The wannabes who can afford it.

I agree that it should be our concern where he gets married though.

318i BMW ( German Corolla ) <--- Freakin hilarious, gotta tell my brother that one! Tres funny!

But what's wrong with events at the National Gallery huh? Huh? Huh?

Actually there is nothing wrong with the events at the National Gallery , hehe , and I've been to a few myself .... although after an hour or so of "appreciating art" under the lights that are a bit too dim , I start to get a headache.

I'm confused between whether you're being serious or Prometheus view of you is correct; however:

A) this whole topic shows your own prejudice's

B) Culture is in the eye of the beholder, I don't find going to France 'cultured', it's a little something I call tourism, which falls under the category of having spare money. However I know many people who do think that just by speaking French makes one a 'cultured' person, so it all comes down to opinion.

I agree.

I think the AFL should spend money teaching players about the joys of Star Trek.
