Well, as you know, I'm a climate change skeptic.

Child immunizations on the other hand, is something I do believe in.

Does it surprise anyone that, the wealthy tree huggers are oblivious to its importance?

.
Vaccination message fails in one riverside Perth suburb.

Retiring Australian Medical Association WA president Andrew Miller said the figures for WA were disturbing, and he suspected there was a lot of complacency, particularly in wealthier suburbs.

“There is a little bit of arrogance by wealth, with people in well-to-do areas thinking they are immune from diseases that happen in other countries,” he said.

“But as we’ve seen, it just takes one child to come from Bali with a disease.”

While I obviously believe in the science of vaccination and its necessity as social policy, I do feel like I understand where anti-vaxx parents are coming from and am sometimes dismayed by the amount of vitriol they cop from all sides.

Ultimately, if you believed that government policy was poisoning your kids and exposing them to illnesses, you would pretty understandably do anything you could to protect them (and it's worth pointing out that the medical establishment have badly failed our trust in the past – think thalidomide, for instance). Ultimately the problem is one of information and education, not supposedly contemptible individuals.

"Wealthy treehuggers". Really? I think you have your conspiracies conflated, there.

You have to get to Perth P4S, they're a special breed in south perth.... the front row chardonay set at eagles games, who also have their holiday abode down south.

Replace "tree" with "crystal" and you might be more on the mark. Wink
