Given the poor form of our VFL team on the weekend, I doubt there's anyone there knocking down the door for a promotion to the seniors.

No changes.

Dwyer and Adams are available though

J thomas has earnt another go ahead of Adams.

Blair and Dwyer is tough but on form possibly Dwyer just ahead.

I would give Adams a game in the VFL, he hasn't quite found his feet at Collingwood yet. He needs time to gain form and confidence at Collingwood.

So either no change or Dwyer for Blair.

BTW, never underestimate North, they usually match up pretty well with us. Gonna be a very close game.

Langdon looks like he needs a spell in the VFL and Maxwell might be unavailable. I wouldn't be surprised to see Armstrong get a run next week.

Maybe wouldn't be surprised but I would be pissed off.

Will be a tough slog, much happier that this match is at the G not the dome. The Q stick wants in.

Pretty sure Dwyer is out for a few weeks with injury.

Out:Blair
In:Adams/Kennedy

Nope

Eade said today Brown and Dwyer will have tests but confident they will play.
Karnezis back as well and Adams.

I expect Adams to play in the magoos unless they drop Blair.

J Thomas to get another run.

Seedy back next week with Broomhead.

Blair was crap.

When he kicked his goal in the third quarter I realised it was the first time I'd noticed him get the ball. Think he had five possessions to that point.

It isn't good enough and one goal doesn't make up for it.

Methinks Jarryd's days are numbered

Good to see someone else notices this. Alas, he has the patronage of the coach, so he's not getting dropped. But we are not going forward if we are playing guys like Blair and Goldsack in the seniors.

That being said, I'm reticent to play 3 specialist inside midfielders, with Adams now available. The one I'd like to get back in is Kennedy, but he didn't have the best of games, so I'm not sure he'll be considered.

So, with all that in mind, the most I'd make is 1 change:

IN: Adams
OUT: Thomas

If Maxy does get suspended by the clowns at Chook Lotto (sorry, the MRP) then Brown, should his shoulder be right, comes in.

cant say he got the ball a lot however Blair did have 11 tackles - most of any player on the ground.
Without knowing his specific role he may have done exactly what was asked of him or he might have not done enough.
To me he looked like he was running hard all night. Question is who would provide what he did better - Adams ? Kennedy ?

No he didn't that was Macaffer.

Blair had 5.

His role looked to be against Houli who had twice as many disposals.

Collingwood Twitter reporting Maxy has been let off!!!
Oh the conspiracy theorists will be out in force now (from opposition clubs I mean).

If Brown comes in, is there a spot for Keeffe, given the great form of Frost?

Remember this is Collingwood.

We're the only side who has a time of death column on our injury list.

I normally agree with your views, MB, but dropping Thomas is one crazy call.

Also, our injury list has Sinclair as 1-2 away. Bucks said he was still 3-4 weeks away from playing VFL, 2 weeks away from full training.

He was great last year and his first game back was good, too. It only took about 5 minutes, and he was back getting involved in everything. Much like Adams in the Sydney game.

I'm not against bringing in Adams, but dropping Thomas is madness, IMO.

This game concerns me as the way north run could be a danger to us. Need all our mids firing giving us first use going forward and then defend like heck when challenged the other way.
Great signs last week and our form against Geelong now looks good after the demolition job they did on west coast.
Go the pies
