Nice to see Toovey back but it won't help our kicking efficiency problem. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

As expected apart from maybe no Grundy.
Both our young ruckman need to improve there marking ability around the ground.
Hopefully Kennedy will be named in the 22 and not made the sub. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

We are now the AFL's Sunday specialists. And I for one don't like it!
When did the AFL decide we would be their guinea pigs?
They are just plain STUPID at AFL House. Why wouldn't you schedule Collingwood to play at the best times each week to maximise our crowds?
And as far as a TV time slot is concerned I would say the Twilight hour is a big fail as well. Keep it up AFL because the FFA is very happy. _________________ Rain or hail, I wag my tail |

So why is Grundy now on the outer? Last year everyone was saying he was the vision of our future. Our great hope. Is he now going to be another casualty of this ill-fated Buckley era? Obviously as soon as his contract is up he'll be outta here. _________________ Rain or hail, I wag my tail |

^Thanks Jack. He may have to work a bit hard to supplant Witts. His discipline has been found wanting at times.
He'll make it, but not everything happens for second year ruck men.
Look how long Lobbe, Giles, Jacobs etc etc took to play their best football. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Both Grundy and Witts need to improve their work rate around the ground, particularly by taking a few big contested grabs or effecting spoils more often. At the moment they both get outmuscled. They also need to prove they can go forward when needed and give us an option there and kick at least 1-2 goals. Witts has shown that he is capable on the lead at least. But they're young and still learning and another pre-season of weights and strengthening techniques and exercises will have them better equipped for next year. In a few years to come our ruck line up may well be the best in the league. |

^ agree. Having competition for the No 1 ruck position will only make us stronger. I am genuinely enthusiastic about our ruck for the future. Grundy has to get fitter, faster and stronger but Witts can't rest on his laurels either. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |
