So point of thread is if Bucks gets sacked due to poor kicking players, I wonder who recruited all the said poor kicks?
Hine tends to escape criticism on this front imo. _________________ Up the Mighty Mags 2016. |

Think Clarko was aligned with Chris Pelchen and Gary Buckenara in the mid 2000's with his edict about "what type of player" he sees as a part of his coaching vision. All coaches lay down their imprimatur in this area. Some even do it too much:
eg. Mark Neeld to Todd Viney 2012 Draft Night: "you are not picking Wines at all Todd!! You are picking Toumpas".
Additionally, if a coach keeps recidivists of poor disposal in the team without fear or consequence, it doesn't create an accountability to standards. But hey, we were never going to turn James Manson in 1987 into Darren Jarman, but he did end up being an effective kick and contributor to our 1990 Flag win and not a Levis Casboult ancestor!! _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Hawks made a statement that if you can't kick we will not recruit you.
They have stayed largely true to that with the odd exception.
We seem to go the opposite route with Hine. _________________ Up the Mighty Mags 2016. |

Not sure if your kidding.....that's not vanity, surely that's picking the right option? _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

some players like to retain 100% efficiency and carry as a badge of honour. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I have talked about Hine for the last few years
And what have I got from fellow Nicksters ????
Mainly abuse because I have questioned his ability.
i thought he has recruited well in the last 2 years but I will wait and see how his picks go in 2016. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

20 games is a reasonable sample size. |
Thank god the sample size has lead to Frost's omission this week. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Excited by the inclusions of:
Howe
Goldsack
Maynard
From a kicking perspective. Goodyear deserves his elevation but to all fans "beware of the helicopter kick" from Goody today! _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |
