I think Ill take it one game at a time. Dare to be patient.

Glad I lost my footy tip tonight, although they should check the bank accounts of Dangerfield and Taylor. I thought having more than one man on the mark results in a 50 metre penalty.

There was only one on the mark. The rest were behind him.

3rd is the absolute best we can hope for after this weekend and even that will be a stretch, I expect us to hold onto 4th and hope like hell Port Adelaide don't manage to absolutely annihilate the Blues like most top 4 contenders should

If Carlton play like they did against us (flood the back line above all costs, and don't care about actually winning), then PA won't annihilate them. They will just have a 100% guaranteed 5 goal win. Not really concerned about that

We could be 3 games clear in the 8 after next week's round, given Geelong's poor showing against Foot-is-cray, their upcoming match against Sydney and that GWS has two difficult games this week and next.

FWIW, I have us winning 15 games (6 and 3 from here) but finishing 7th. Hawthorn and Port Adelaide have very soft draws in the run home.

Hmm

Swans beat 'em by 30
Cats beat 'em by 28
WCE beat 'em by 20
Tiges beat 'em by 26

Cats losing off the bye. Its more than coincidence that teams take time blow the cobwebs out after any time away from the game.
Pity the crows come off the bye this weekend.

The Dogs beating the Cats benefits us greatly.

Looks like Port will defeat Carlton now. Hoping the Crows can knock off the Eagles.

There is a Ladder Predictor on the AFL website that can help you. I had us finishing 4th but assuming we only now lost against Richmond and Sydney, won against WCE & Port as the key games whilst winning the other games. An absolute folly for anyone who knows Collingwood. I ignored margins.

I pretty much took the favourites for the remainder of the year, to see the influence of the draw, but acknowledge this is a year where there are bound to be more upsets as we close in to the finals.

The other bonus was that Carlton wins their 5th wooden spoon!

Very Happy

Yes, see my post a couple above. I had us going 6-3, rather than 7-2. Maybe that's the difference between us finishing 4th and 7th (although it might, of course, been how you and I saw things falling in non-'Pies games). Like you, I ignored margins.

Only took them half the season to get it up and running.

And its still not better then what they already had. And we still have to wait for them to put the finals predictor up.

Anyway. Yeah it would have been nice if Port lost today. Cmon Crows and GO PIES!!

^^Looking for an Eagles loss as well, but happy with ether losing.

Longer term it's probably better if the Crows lose. We've got tough games coming up and will probably end up battling for position in the lower half of the 8 rather than the top.
