We have been been poor ever since Buckey called out Grundy after the Footscray game. Has he lost the players?

I think you're making the mistake of assuming that nearly everyone thinks the way you do.

Spoiler - they probably don't.

Are you referring to the current reigning coach of the year? Rolling Eyes

Look I'm angry and frustrated with our current situation as much as anyone; but coach of the year or not, he's still accountable and I think my questions and concerns are valid.

TWENTY TWO injuries say hello too u. Surprised

Despite having 8 years at the helm, it’s not Buckley’s fault for the lack of depth or constant picking up of injured players...

Blaming injuries is a pathetic excuse that Buckley’s supporters have been using for 8 years now. Must be a coincidence it’s never improved under his watch...

But they’ll dine out on coach of the year for another 5 years of failure because Collingwood supporters are happy to accept mediocrity...

And you guys - try to laugh off a great 2018, smashing the Premiership favorites and making the GF as unrelated to Bucks’ coaching.

And then discount this obvious improvement with absurdly ignorant statements that we’re back to past mediocrity. Despite having not been considered a strong premiership chance by analysts, or having a sustained top 4 ladder positions in this “mediocre” past.

So I’m thinking comedy is your go because thoughtful and considered analysis of AFL is not.

At the end of the day it's up to the coach to motivate the team. Injuries or not he's had enough time to prove his worth. Last year we made a GF on the back of sheer guts and determination.

At the end of the day the coach can only attempt to get the best from the players he has available.
On your logic, giving Gold Coast the best coach should yield them a premiership, whether they have the cattle or not. Brings into perspective what you're saying here...

We could lose Grundy because of Bucks.

As I don't think they get along

No, but if you put a decent coach into the Gold Coast, I'm sure after 8 seasons they could build a decent list!

After 8 years you can't use a lack of talent as an excuse for a coach, its his list!

I’ve decided I am going to park the sack the coach bandwagon I’ve been driving since the bye and give the coach until the last round to show me that he can actually coach. He has enough excuses now with at least 10 starting players out but that doesn’t cut it for me. If he can get the team at least having a crack, which they haven’t the last two weeks, I will accept he can coach and move on. If we play exactly as we have the last month I am done and will start it up, load it up, apply the nos and park it in the lobby of the Westpac Centre.
