No guarantee that round 1 starts as planned. All you need is one player or staff member from a club to test positive to the virus, and they will stop the season indefinitely.

| Umpiring decisions will be interesting - no partisan crowd noise swaying their decisions either way. Games will be 'neutral' - played on a 'level playing field' - non-influenced by 'home' and 'away' crowds?? |

That defeats the purpose. People should not be gathering at all. |

I suspect season will be significantly delayed.
Premier League suspended with 3 teams in quarantine.
US Masters Postponed
China shows it takes about 3 months for the infection rate to slow down following isolation / quarantine. So any sports up to June likely to be affected.

Did you watch the AUS V NZ ODI last night on Fox, almost unbelievable how boring it is without a crowd. You watch the batsmen play a lofted shot and without the crowds excitement you don't know if there is a fielder in the vicinity of the ball.
As you say footy is the same, the crowd excitement is the atmosphere and that comes through even when you are at home watching (trust me it's the only option I've had for years living in FNQ).
I thought the Marsh pre-season series seemed quite boring given the small cowds.
But it is what it is, and hopefully we can get back to some normality sooner rather than later, keeping the fans and players safe should be the first priority for everyone.

Given the amount of times the football crosses the fence in a game they're going to need a lot of ball boys or girls stationed around the arena.
Thank Christ Cloke isn't still playing as the game would run 4 hours.
