We wouldn't replace Bucks with Voss would we?

That would really be a knife job.

We choose our coach at Collingwood, the rest is a charade.

Would you interview a coach that had to actually apply because we hadn't already tapped them on the shoulder?

Actually I would like to see him as coach.
Or player and culture development manager

Absolutely agree, Ballamy is the best coach going around.
How can we get him over?

Get an NRL team. I mean we have a netball team. Why not.

Ask any player or staffer at the Melbourne F C as to who has turned the club around and they would say Yze long before Williams would even enter the conversation. It’s not a slight on Williams, it’s just a fact.
I wouldn’t be against Yze as an untried coach who specialises in transition / midfield strategies ( one of our biggest failings ) but untried is a big call in this high pressure environment.

No chance on getting Mitchell - the Hawks would never allow this. However now that we’ve got Wrighty in our camp his previous connection may be beneficial.
Adem Yze would be my next selection considering his assistant coaching CV which is arguably better than Mitchell’s and who has form for forward craft improvement and also has been credited for the Hawk’s elite kicking in their premiership years.

My first preference would have been Choco Williams circa 10 years ago - Although he’s allegedly doing good things at Melbourne I think the game might have passed him by.

Heart says Scott Burns, but I can't go through this again if it doesn't work out.

Big no's to Ross Lyon, Chris Scott and Don Pyke.

Choco is an interesting choice. But I think I'd prefer him to be an assistant.

Ironically Choco is an ex captain of the club but he’s not a “Collingwood’ person.

I’d go for Choco too BTw.

What frustrates me the most is that the board mess may hamper our ability to go out and get the coach we want ASAP.

This is a lot more difficult than it 1st appears. Imo it depends on who the club selects and then whom they surround that coach with in assistants. So what kind of coach do we want??? IMO there are 3 basic sorts 1. We have leaders of men, someone who's passionate and wears it on their sleeve. 2. We have strategic tacticians and finally 3. we have the organisers people whom objectively look and delegate appropriately.

So we need to select one of the three types and than surround them assistants that fulfill the other two key areas. And of course a coach can have a combination of several of those traits but usually its one over the others.

So whom is that? What fits best?
