Still better then Kelli Underwood as she does not have a Voice for Commentating _________________ I am Da Man |

All good commentators have a feel for the sport, where they pick things you don't see and can predict the way the game is flowing and are usually right at the end as to who wins. EPL and F1 in England are like that. Those commentators are true experts. They use the fewer possible words to describe play because the viewer at home can see visually the play and doesn't need a radio description of what's happening on the field of play. Brian Taylor in the Brisbane game had us winning from 6 goals behind in the last quarter when it was obvious we were losing. He has little idea where a game is going, hasn't any idea how AFL is coached, despite his playing background and gets involved in umpiring decisions when it's obvious he's never read a rule book. Daisy Pearce is 100 times his superior as a commentator. |

As much as I dislike Daisy's commentary (she often has one team she sides with), she was the only one that pointed out the inconsistency in the Ginnivan & Papley high tackle calls. Dissapointing that BT said nothing, especially after he was so emphatic that the right call was made on Ginnivan. Reeks to me that he didn't want to come across as pro-Collingwood. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

I'm usually busy watching the game to worry too much about commentators, but Caro's constant cheap shots at any opportunity get on my nerves! |

Rex Hunt was a poor commentator. He seemed to think that the footy wasn't interesting enough and so he had to embellish it.
Brian Taylor isn't terrible but he's ordinary. He's not good enough to be the lead commentator.
Daisy Pearce is ok but when she makes a point, she rambles on for too long as the play is continuing. She doesn't know how to be succinct.
Kelli Underwood is reasonable but she has an unpleasant voice.
It's a shame but there are no good television commentators. If I couldn't go to a game, I used to turn off the television volume and listen to the radio commentary in conjunction with the television picture. The AFL stopped that by delaying the television picture by a few seconds. |

Plenty of vitriol directed to this bloke, in the game thread.

Time to be put to pasture (as fertilizer) given his bullshit. Really bad. The commentary was what Carrrrrlton needed to do with relatively little about Collingwood for most of the commentary. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Already commented on this in reply to WPT's excellent response. I am so tired of his anti-Collingwood hysterics. Tim Watson (I think it was him) was more complimentary of the Pies supremacy. Who would've imagined that. |

Should not be commentating games, but Brayshaw is just as bad. BT doesn't have to cheer for a club he played for, but he doesn't have to comment non-stop about what the other team can do to win. He is a wan**r. |

For gods sake, BT is a Pies man, but in commentary he needs to be unbiased and part of the theatre is boosting up the chances of the loosing side to keep it entertaining.
He's a commentator FFS not a cheerleader. I enjoy his commentary. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

He's never gotten over the fact he was left out of the 1990 Premiership side. Tough luck BT. It was always about him and not the team. I'd take a battler like Checkers over his footballing skills any day of the week. Sorry BT, but we didn't need you in 1990. He's still bitter. His loss. |

I don’t love his bellowing, but agree that it’s his job to talk up the side that is behind to try and maintain interest. He’s got a bit of a chip on his shoulder though, I think, arising from missing 1990s premiership. |
