I think it's pretty straight forward.
We either make finals next season and all is good or we don't and he's sacked.
This group could have made finals this year.
Next season will be a certainty if Bucks is the right man for the job.
Our list is fine and will only get better with another preseason and adding of players like Treloar should he nominate us.

We'll see how good Buckley is, this time next year we'll know one way or another.
Last year our excuse was injuries, this year we had an easier draw & we're sitting where exactly, 11th?
Sorry missing Finals is not acceptable, we're not St Kilda or Melbourne, stop accepting failure & making excuses!

I have not been a Eddie fan for a long time. More about him then the club.
Bucks, at the end of last year I said this year was his "make or break" year. After the start of the year we had, I honestly think he deserves next year...our first half of the year was top 2 standard. Remember that both Bomber at Geelong and Clarkson at Hawks had difficult periods, Bomber was close to being sacked at Geelong before they hit the "golden era". First half of next year is really make or break.
If we sack him we have to hit the reset. If you think about it any new coach will want to "put on the stamp" that may take another 2 -3 years. Also who takes over? Clarkson may be available next year if we give it another 8 to 12 months

I was listening to Chris Scott on AFL 360 tonight talking about the Dogs. He said that earlier in the piece (not sure if he meant earlier this year or last year) they had the hard defensive aspect to their game, but now they've added another layer that involves: run, spread and ball use. Maybe we're a year behind them and we're on the verge of adding our: run, spread and ball use to our pressure and tackling. |

| Next year it's finals or bust. This year started well but finished poorly similar to the year before. A lot of things to work on over the summer and hopefully we can introduce a few quality players as well to help us along the way. Hird the turd and mad mick have taken the headlines this year but if we have another shit year next year then I'd imagine questions would be asked about whether or not Buck's is in fact the right man for the job. |

And if Clarkson really is on the table next year, and we are where we are now, throw the bank at him.
Hopefully, it's not necessary and we are sitting top 4. We should get another easy draw
