Going only from the stats we are equal or in front in many which means our effort isn't lacking. The major discrepancy is marks which suggests they are chipping around us.

On the long camera shot in that last minute you could see a few WC players out the back by themselves.
So another coast to coast goal.
Shouldn't be called coast to coast these should be called The Bux special!
Our zone setup is killing us.

Well that horrible first quarter is exactly how we play now. It is a carbon copy of most of our quarters. That uncompetive zone garbage has solved today's problem I have. How to do 8 hours of work and watch the footy before I go to bed. So now I'm off to work.

That happens because we provide them too much space by implementing the worst zone you'll ever see.
Therefore, this is largely a coaching problem and not a personnel/talent problem.

| What a hideous start. I didn't think we were ever going to score a goal that quarter. Eagles are running freely all around the ground while our players are miles behind. When we get the ball we're under pressure and uncertain. Enough stopping and waiting; who the hell is running forward to take the receiving kick. That last goal they got made me sick. Each and every Collingwod player on the field was accountable for that coast to coast. Insipid and lazy. Nothing more to say. Take the bloody game on and create something Collingwood. |
