So, it's unfair for Goodes to assume the word was meant racially and in malice....but it's perfectly fine for you to assume it wasn't and therefore make him the villain?
Now THERE's some double standards for you  |

That's your call, no issues from my end. She might be lying, she might not be, but in the heat of the moment Adam thought she was, and who knows whether he believes her or not now.
The only person that knows is the girl.
But like I've said a couple of times, we've all learnt something about how that word can be interpreted when used as an insult.

That is what Goodes told us, but he would say that no matter what after she apologised, 'cause he is a decent human being and more than big enough to say what he needed to say to calm things down. Whether it's true or not, who knows? It just shows what a class act that man is. Just imagine how great it would have been to see him play two or three hundred games in black and white.

We don't have to assume, the girl said she meant nothing racial and Adam accepted that, which makes the next line out of his mouth so confusing.. how is she the face of racism? and why would he use such an obvious sound bite after he realized she meant the more 'common' usage of the word?
Indigenous community members themselves admit ape is not really a word they hear to vilify them, they gave a couple of examples that leave no doubt in the mind like ape does

Sorry mate, typo on my end, I've corrected that.
I meant he DID think she meant it with malice....my bad
Also, I would have LOVED to see Goodes in the black & white, he's an amazing footballer, and there's not many players I respect more than him,
