Did you manage to wrangle that one? They know you finished work today, and saw you coming!

Brilliant news hey,

Catching the varmint responsible for digging up my brother-in-law's lawn on security video: A sneaky little raccoon! Very cute beasties.

Edits:

And now let me add a feisty Californian Blue Jay attacking a large local skink. First it got the drop tail and carried that away. Then it came back and grabbed the whole thing!

Babies in the nest or just feisty generally? This skink was the size of a juvenile blue-tongued lizard, and the Californian blue jay is much smaller than its crested cousin from what I can tell.

Anyhow, good stuff going on in the backyard, including some awesome little hummingbirds.

LA beaches over the weekend from north to south; a tour from the bizarre, to the familiar!

I'm no pop culture fan, but Hollywood Bvd gets a shout out. Great energy.

In 1985 I had a ticket to see Spandau Ballet but I got hit by a car on my bike that day and spent the night in hospital. (I had to see Bruce Springsteen the next night at the Showgrounds on crutches.)

It may have taken me 30 years to see them, but they were worth the wait tonight. Brilliant!

I got offered a chance to be a photographer for the Southern Football League down here, I had asked the Tasmanian State League but never got a reply back. The SFL loved my work from the Claremont/Hobart game.

There's also a possibility I will be doing some for Amnesty International as well. I've always wanted to be a photographer and follow in dads footsteps in a way.

Thanks. Smile mixing two passions, I've noticed that a lot of the players from Claremont have been on my page as well liking and commenting on photos.

Back to the UK today. As you can guess, there's no shortage of things to do and see in California, whatever your taste.

Geeks, don't miss Silicon Valley and Stanford. Culture freaks, don't miss San Francisco. Beach freaks, pop culture freaks, shopping freaks, food freaks and nature freaks well catered for.

Nice to hear you enjoyed your time in the US mate.

San Francisco is a great city! I was there back in January for a holiday. The weather is great during the winter period and there's plenty to occupy yourself with for a week or so.
