Yeah we could although Mad Monday wouldn't be for another week. We could lose because we play shit footy too.
Or we could win because we want to show that we still have it deep within us to beat teams like Geelong!!
Who the hell knows for sure mate..... | We should be hungry enough to finish off the Cats season. The players should be gutted from the smashing and come out fired up. Here's hoping |

And exactly how does the fact he can't be elevated to the senior list and therefore can't play impact that?
Does it just mean you can be pissed off earlier?
Irrelevant anyway, kid is a long way down the pecking order for selection. |
He can be elevated to the senior list if we have a LTI iirc, if we want him to play he'll play. |
no one can be nominated lti post round 18. |
As has been pointed out in about 5 threads including extracts from the rules specific to this. Do people actually read the posts of others JW? |

OUT: Grundy, Maynard
IN: Witts, Brown
PK, BK and Oxley also included in the squad.
Maynard still, he was well beaten against the Tigers but again showed glimpses of what we can anticipate longer term.
Would have loved White to have repeated his Carlton game and demanded a recall but had little impact on Saturday.

Love to see Young having a hitout. Played well in the VFL last week. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

Forgot Brown to return...
Young was impressive in the half we watched, his link up work excellent. But on review I've dropped him from the squad to include Brown. |

From Bucks' presser sounds like the backline are going to pay for last Saturday!!! Sounds like Scharenburg will be back and you'd think Brown is straight back in.
My guess would be Maynard back out again and .....??? And maybe time will catch up with Toovey and he'll be marched back to the twos?
Also confirmed Cox will not be playing this week ... sounded like we won't even give him a taste this year which is a little odd.
I would also think that Patty K might finally get a run for the final two weeks with Fas spending some time in the Magoos.
It's strange we got absolutely belted last week - in the end - but if you look at the first three quarters there was plenty we did right too - despite the scoreboard. _________________ Side By Side Forever |

FWIW, I disagree with you. Cox played a great quarter in the VFL but has a very long way to go. You don't pick him above someone like Witts yet. Let's be patient with his development and give him another pre season to present himself as a player worth considering next year. If he is still good enough, he may earn a senior game then. Not ready yet. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

I'm hoping we'll bring in 4-5 new players after the deplorable showing last week. Nothing against Grundy, but it's Witts' turn after great form in the VFL.
In: Scharenberg (apparently he's to be picked), Brown, Karnezis, Kennedy, Witts
Outs: Grundy, Fasolo, Blair, Marsh, Maynard. |

i sense chess boy might be a touch disappointed with the news about cox. i don't see who is ahead of in the queue.
it's pleasing to read that schazza is going to be named. hopefully he gets a full game, so too jdg. i wouldn't like to see maynard or toovey come out but not sure who else to omit. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Piesnchess is a bloody great supporter, he will cope!! Deep down he probably knows that the American pie is not quite ready as yet.

Yeah agree. I think Tooves, Maynard, Grundy and Blair are on shaky ground after last week's effort. Maybe even Marley who didn't have the best game but he might just survive I think. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. With Brown and Scharenberg set to return, I expect our 2 most inexperienced defenders in Maynard and Marsh are most likely to be dropped, especially as they both lowered their colours against the Tigers. |

Marsh was on Riewoldt.
Thought he did pretty well for a 3rd gamer.
Maynard, Sinclair and Frost were our worst defensive performers IMO. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
