Who cares if he's 100 % ready or not. Give the bloke a game if his fitness is a question to show him what is required over Summer to prepare for AFL in 2018. When is this club going to start investing in our playing future and forget about this coach saving campaign?

Keeping KK & developing him in the VFL is investing in the future in a planned methodical manner IMO. I don't think there is any relation to Bucks's future.

My concern is that, at this stage, he doesn't have the pace to be successful at senior level - especially on repeat efforts. Needs to get fitter and quicker. On limited viewing, he seems to rely more on strength and marking at VFL level (or poor opposition marking). Maybe in future years he'll be able to make a mark as a strong one on one player, but that won't happen at 18-20 years of age.

Tracking well though, and with commitment he could be a handy addition sometime in 2018.

He certainly looks heavy, but then Swanny wasn't the most athletic looking...

I'll trust the club to know how to bring on a young indigenous player.

We all offer a lot commentary without knowing what's going on behind closed doors.

He needs to get super fit, as he is competing against Fasolo and Elliott as a medium/small marking forward. I can't wait to see him unleashed on the MCG, but reckon it's more likely to be next year.

^^^ Rudeboy would it be smart if we gave him the last game of this season against the Dee's on the MCG and said go wild mate and when he runs out of puff let him know how much work he has to do in the off season to get to the level of fitness required at AFL level.
Maybe we could hire a specialist fitness coach to work with him alone so we don't kill the kid but make sure he turns up in the preseason in best shape and ready to tackle and long preseason and hopefully a longer season ahead

The smart thing would be to pick the best team to beat the Dees. If that includes Kirby, then well and good, but no-one, even someone with a surname of Daicos, should be gifted a game.

I think there is merit in this. A little reality check before a long summer of training might set his mindset in the right direction.

His highlight reel from the weekend shows a lot of over top goal square goals. He would be held to account a lot more in the seniors.

kicked one, his teammates maybe forgot that he could win the frosty miller unlike the other guy who got fed for a bag and is only one behind him now. poor guy is probably deflated that his second bag of 5 goals doesn't even get him a look in.

Laughing

Either that or he celebrated too much.

I saw the 2nd half today. Our forward 50 was more crowded than the Frankston Line during peak-hour: gave him very little opportunity let alone space

He looked a bit flat today - just not in it.
