Had to laugh at Paul 'Teflon' Roos whinging about umpiring in a game where Melbourne got a dream run (24 frees to Demons, 13 frees to the Doggies).
Let him walk in our shoes (1979 grand Final- blind boundary umpire), 2002 Grand Final ( blind goal umpire), every other week, incompetent field umpires.
So much for the resurrection of Melbourne..... _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Roos thinks he is special. The world is learning he is not. _________________ Buon Giorno |

The only whinge I saw was pretty warranted IMO. Terlich gets hit in the head, no free kick and goes off with concussion. Liam Jones will get suspended but no free kick.
Or did I miss something?
I loved Clarko giving it to Harley, he is someone I find really irritating with his bias and hatred of other teams ie: Hawthorn and the Pies.
Anyway getting back to Roos, I think he is doing a great job, the Dees have only been smashed once or twice this year and have been very competitive in the others. _________________ "Still waiting for your call Caroline ... not a quote in sight. Generally seem to be lacking quality commentators these days. |
Yeh I reckon Bruce Mc is about as over the hill and past it as the Strolling Bones |

Roos could learn a lot from old North coach John Kennedy who once said of shite umpiring, " we are not allowed to comment because we get fined if we criticize, so today I will DEFINITELY not comment on the umpiring".
Roos is a master at distraction when teams he coaches lose games they are expected to win.
Having games he is expected to win will not be too much of an issue at Melbourne.... _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Harley also reckoned Macaffer's tactics were illegal on Cotchin and that the game didn't need it yet the same bloke didn't say boo about Guthrie using similar negating tactics on Pendles the week before that. Nor did he ever complain about Cameron Ling wrapping his arms around his opponent like a bloody octopus at every single stoppage when he was the Geelong captain.
He's a total biased hack flog and grossly overrated as a player. A poor mans Nick Maxwell I reckon no matter what Matthew Scarlett reckons. |

I'm wondering if I missed something too. I actually thought Roos was perfectly valid in his thoughts of that contest. |

Yep, there'd be an outcry on Nicks if the same thing happened to a Pies player. |

One comment on a bad decision is interesting but not alarming. If Buckley commented on every poor decision against the Pies he'd still be giving his post match address from round 5!
