Latest injury update from Eade is available. Apparently Oxley should be fit to play this week and Reid should be good to go next week (AFL round 11).

Seemed pretty definite from how he said it, will be good to get Reid back. He is the missing piece of the puzzle in our forward line imo.

yeah so he will need 3 weeks in the reserves ...why does it feel like the seconds spend more time having "bye" rounds then playing bloody football lol.

So AFL return date will be in about a month.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. And I doubt that Rocket would have been so specific if they weren't confident of his return.

Lol what about Freeman.....injured at the end of January at the time he was listed as 3 to 4 weeks. What Collingwood need to start doing is listing injuries like this:

Nathan Freeman Hamstring 2-3 weeks x4

If I remember correctly Bucks had continual hamstring troubles at the end of his career because it was tendon issues & perhaps misdiagnosed. Perhaps Bucks is also insisting on being overly cautious with him based on his own experience? Just a thought.

Oh FFS Stupied, how bloody gullible are you? Surely even YOU should be able to read between the lines in club talk by now? Naive in the extreme dude Rolling Eyes

At least another 3 weeks before Reid attempts to play seniors.

Lock him in for the Queen's birthday game against Melbourne.

Yep I think Eade mentioned that last week. So realistically if all the news is good and no set backs probably would be back for the Hawks game in Round 14. Similar time frame to Beams last year.

Hopefully no one else does a bloody calf injury.

I disagree. Watch the video. It's the most specific that Rocket has been with a return date on Reid. Mentioned that he has trained strongly for the past fortnight and is only a week away. Likely means two weeks though, as it's a bye for the VFL next week and it's doubtful they would throw him in to the seniors after such a long lay off.
And I think you're being naive believing that Reid would be ready for seniors in 3 weeks. He will need at least 2-3 weeks in the VFL before he is match fit for the seniors. 1 month minimum before he plays AFL.
